Horrific Customer Support

AselliaAsellia Member UncommonPosts: 174

Alright, so I had an account two or so years ago, before they started linking to battle.net. It was apparently hacked, and is connected to someone else's battle.net. I sent them a thing, explaining everything, I get an email back from a gm saying they reset the password, and it was sent to the email associated with the account -_-

So that is it, one e-mail which didn't quite get the response you expected and that qualifies as "Horrific Customer Support"??

What exactly did you notify them of? Could there have been a misunderstanding? Have you sent another mail explaining how this doesn't help you? Have you tried calling them?

Customer support is a two way street, the more information they have the more help they can offer/give you in return.

It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays.

WEll, it was from a GM, an actual person. My original email gave EVERY bit of information needed. CD-keys on account, original secutiy questions/answers, username, date registered, original email confirming I made account. I even said someone tied it to their battle.net account, they said they reset the password, sending it to associated email, which I already explained clearly wasn't mine.

I sent another, hopefully they'll reply, but the fact they ignored my entire support request proves they aren't doing to well with it=. We'll see how it goes.

Its summer and the phone lines and GM Response times are insanely high, i waited over 72 hours to get an answer to my ticket, but to be fair to Blizzard there doing there absolute best and the wait times are getting less and less each day.

They are a little understaffed and have to manage with what they currently have.

Anyways on topic, to the OP i hope you get your account back, the best bet would be to change your email to your Battle.net account to a fresh brand new email once your have recovered it that is.

Yes. I hope I do too. Maybe "Horrific" was a bit too harsh, it just pissed me off that an actual person answered my support ticket 100% incorrectly. It was like they didn't even read the thing.

how did your account get attached to someone else's battlenet account?  You would have had to set it up that way yourself or else you gave your information to a phishing email.

Accounts don't get hacked, they are 'given' to the gold-sellers by people who fall for their tricks.

Well my account got hacked today, since I had been playing SC2, and today I try to log in and it asks for an authenticator. While usually I see it as the users fault, I haven't been on any phishing sites, or even been onto my email in 2 months. I reformatted about a month ago, and haven't installed anything other than mortal, darkfall, and wow. Now I am calling them to get it removed, but they have a 45 minute wait. Bahhhhhhhhhhhh

Edit: Ended up being a 1 hour 10 minute wait on the phone to an instant email change, and authenticator removal. If you get hacked, deal with the phone call, its really easy and fast.

Stunning, you can point out the obvious like you're insulting me!

In all seriousness though, i've no clue what happened. I'm not one to sign into places other then the game, I have a different password on my email every week for security reasons,  definitely no keyloggers. It was stolen, and attached, like months after I had quit.
