So us Wessex people got a message from Thaeric (Forsaken leader) that they want to hold a Roleplay/PvP event.
One team was the bandits with a captured player who had a precious Ruber on them whilst the other team were the Heroes of Moh-ki/surrounding areas.
After the inital roleplaying was done us the heroes moved in on the hut and engaged the bandits. Lives were lost and the battle lasted nearly an hour. In the end the Heroes were victorious as we managed to smuggle the captive out alive!
Video to come soon I believe.

Great player-made RP event - sounds like everyone had fun!
Thaeric did an excellent job with the write-up and synopsis of the event.
Looking forward to any pictures or videos detailing it.

A lot of people may not appreciate this, but us RP people can see the awsome in it
It does make a huge difference to a lot of people. Part of the point of a sandbox game, I suppose, is having more latitude to do these kinds of things. As they continue to add more systems to MO, it'll just keep getting better.
By the way, Forsaken says they are working on the video for this event. They are doing it in a "short film" format, so it might take a week or so to complete. I can't wait to see it!

In a list of bullet points describing the attributes of a truely "sandbox" game I'd say that the above would be included.
You say he had a rubber on him? What type of RP game is this exactly? (Leisure Suit Larry Online MMO FTW )
Airfell has posted the video they made from the Bandit Event on YouTube. You can watch it here:

Awesome video!

Sounds awesome, right after the NGE hit SWG most of my server started taking part in RP-PVP event's like this on a weekly basis, even with all the bugs, rage and hate over the changes people seemed to genuinely have a blast taking part in those events, rper and none such as myself.

While I appreciate the effort and the RP aspect of what they're trying to do. That video was flippin' awful! And if that is how the game play looks, well then good luck to this train wreck... But if you people enjoy it then more power to ya,
Very low graphics settings (A lot of people use it for PvP/to prevent their old computer systems from dying whilst running the game)
Ah, okay. And that makes sense. Thanks for the info friend...
Actually, I wasn't on low graphics, but medium. This is also from the Pre-Epic days. what happened is the video was recorded from several people in the guild's computers, and not all using fraps, but other screen recorders as well. When you mix those file types together along with youtubes bad compression as well... you get crap :P
The game in general does look quite a bit prettier now.
