Was looking at MMO's under development and saw that there were talks of a Deadlands MMO from Shane Hensley's IP
Site Here: http://www.peginc.com
There was another article here from awhile back here: http://www.mmorpg.com/blogs/UnSub/112008/2864_Rumour-Deadlands-MMO-in-development-at-Superstition-Studios
I did some research and it looks like Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment (CME) http://www.cheyenneme.com/ website is up for renewal. Maybe I missed the bus and didn't realize they went under, but I thought they were doing Stargate Worlds also?
Would be interesting to see this IP come to fruition though.
Anyone have any news?

Yup. CME went bankrupt. CEO was running some scams, they sold Stargate back in March.
CME hit a rough patch and lost a lot of funding. They did release a game around the same level of graphics in hopes for some funding (Stargate Resistance). Hopefully they didn't give up, it was a good concept just bad execution.
Edit: Someone has more updated info than me -looks up-
The games info looks interesting.
Taken from another site. Kinda like a Red Dead Redemption
Deadlands
Deadlands
Deadlands is a genre-mixing alternate history roleplaying game which combines the Western and horror genres.[1] Steampunk elements are also prominent. It was written by Shane Lacy Hensley and published by Pinnacle Entertainment Group.
The eight-times Origins Award-winning setting has been converted to many other systems over the years and is available in the original Classic Rules, the revised Classic Rules, d20 System, GURPS, as well as a Savage Worlds version called Deadlands: Reloaded.
The game is set in the United States in the last quarter of the 19th century. The canonical year for the first edition of Deadlands is 1876. A later supplement, Tales o' Terror, advances the game's backstory and metaplot ahead one year, to 1877. The second edition of Deadlands uses the updated backstory of 1877 as the canonical starting point.
They sold Resistance and Worlds to Fresh Start. Mostly the same employees just new company/management, so there is still hope for a release at some point.
I would love an western MMO :-) so I am crossing my fingers.
If there is going to be a western mmo, it really needs to be deadlands or something similar. It is such a well written game with an excellent setting. The blend of horror and steampunk might not be for everyone, but it really expands what can be done in the game world. Something a straight forward western mmo would really be lacking in.
Talked to shawn about it a couple weeks ago over at the Pinnacle Forums. They tried it, and the Dev went bottom up. No further plans atm for deadlands MMO.
So long, and thanks for all the fish!
I sort of gave up hope when I played Stargate Resistance, reason for it was that SR felt like just another MOD on the UT engine, you know something mod builders do all the time, not bad for just a mod, but bad that it was made by a gaming company, supose to be a original developed game.
Deadlands does read like a intresting game, but then again almost any MMORPG on paper sounds great even those that actually might turn out bad games at release.
Doubt it. That's a typical trick shady companies use when they don't want to lose something to bankruptcy court.
I do't know if you were in the SGW closed beta like I was Reklaw, but that's all their "mmo" was, a halfassed mod. Stargate Resistance was basically just Stargate Worlds stripped of it's networking and then rearranged and cobbled together to make a bland shooter.
