Mortal Online Political Update

RohnRohn Member UncommonPosts: 3,730

Bevo updated the political situation and map on the official boards yesterday for those interested.

The new keep (Forsaken's) has been added, as well as some of the hypothetical territorial lines adjusted (which are only an approximation).

The entire post can be found here:

Are there any places that list guild sizes?  Darkfall had a site (don't have the link) that pulled player numbers (and I think actives/inactives) right from the game and loaded it all onto the political map along with who owned what and who was sieging.   It would be interesting to see the size (active players) of a guild like 13 that has built two keeps and laid claim to a pretty big corner of the world.

Not that I'm aware of, but I'm also not obsessed with size or trying to "prove" anything by scrounging for sub numbers.  In short, I don't think it matters - people are engaged in and enjoying the politics of the game.

You will eventually see why numbers matter in a political game.  Just ask Wessex and King Manus what he learned from Darkfall image

And, in that context, publishing numbers would be foolish.  Let them find out.

Of cource numbers matters in alliances/guilds but it should NOT be public knowledge due to obvious reasons.

If it's not broken, you are not innovating.

I hear that 13 has around 50 active players.  Fairly small in comparison to some of the larger guilds.

5Actives say that the whole server might have 300 people on it at any given time.  50 people would seem to be a very large guild if that is true.

Considering that CIR has over 100 players itself and the fact that the developers just upped the number of players that can bind to a guildstone from 50 to 100 there are certainly more than 300 people on the server.

Why debate this subject?  We can just wait until starvault comes out with it's stock report in less than a week.

I agree that any debate is anecdotal, but also keep in mind that the interim report will NOT have any sub numbers or money included.  It should be Q2 numbers.. which obviously ended before the subs started.  It should still make for some interesting discussion though!
