Ideas for classes and backstory

You ever played Dragon Age Origins?

What if each class had an "origin", or a starting tutorial/backstory?

A good SM tank class would be Dreadnaught, that would be loads of fun, with a goof backstory, with you playing as a regular

marine in the beginning, and as the "origin" ends, you are a dreadnaught after an epic battle.

I really, really don't want to make this comparison, but something like the Cataclysm Goblin/Worgen thing.

I want to see Grey Knights and Deathwatch.

Random, I know.

It's a little early to see what they are going to allow. The Choas Marines are obviously Khorne, The Space Marines I don't recognize so probably a no named chapter their emblem is similar to Black Templars. Stuff like that is going to have a lot to do with classes altho if they stick true, it'll probably be in the squad types for marines, like tactical, assault, combat, devastator, and scout squads. That would in turn determine weapon types, gear and role on the battlefield. At least thats my thoughts as far as the Space Marine types go. Eldar and Ork would be simpler Eldar has the different Aspect Warrior types. Ork boys are either DAKKA DAKKA, or flamers or choppin, orky type stuff. Those are my thoughts, we have a lot of time tho to wait and see unfortunately =[

regular space marines don't turn into dreadnaughts.... Crippled Christopher Reeve'esque Warheroes/Supermen get imprisoned in a dreadnaught so they can continue to serve the Imperium.

I'd like to see  squad and role advancement.

    Start out as Recruit  > Troops > Pilot/Troop Seargant  > Move to Elite / Fast / Heavy infantry > Pilot/Seargant  >  Hero/Independent Character/HQ

Becoming things like a Dreadnaught or Wraithlord should be long and epic stories that are difficult to achieve as only the best of the best become them.  Once you go to them there's no going back to becoming a regular marine or eldar because you're essentially dead.

Then you can advance in various builds and types of dreadnaught/wraithlord.

Even though I doubt they'll be in at the beginning I'd love to advance through the harlequins to become a solitaire.

Otherwise, I'm going to be gunning for Howling Banshee/Striking Scorpion Exarch and whatever is beyond that, possibly Phoenix Lord, but they're set in stone.
