Maturity In BG? Its all in the remote.

So I go into Battle Gounds (Warsong) expecting the same group of people. Instead I start reading in chat some kid giving orders, something to the effect that he will get the flag and the healer will make sure he does not die. Another player asks him why it was that he gets the flag and the kid says because he is the highest level and hasn't gotten the Iornman mark yet. The player replies that perhaps the lowest player should get the flag and everyone else should support him. The kid says, "if you do not heal me it means you are all a bunch of F'n losers." 30 seconds till gates drop and silence in the chat. Bg starts and offense jumps out the gate while the kid repeats his orders and three stay behind to Defense with me.

Trumpets blew indicating the enemy flag has been taken and the kid tells everyone to follow him out and keep him healed. All of a sudden the kid goes into a serious rampage in caps asking where is everyone threatening to drop the flag if they do not cover him right then...silence. A gong indicates the enemy flag is dropped and returned then trumpets sound immediately afterwards to indicate that the enemy flag has once again been picked up. The kid is now filling the chat with serious remarks about how we are all gay and f'n losers who do not know how to play etc. etc. etc.

[I once viewed a video of a teenager who had a tantrum because his parents had stop paying for his sub in WoW. When notified that his account was shut down he began jumping on the bed, screaming and yelling and doing nasty things with a remote controller. I hoped that this was not the same kid...that was a big remote.]

Apparenlty, Offense had allowed him to get the flag and start running out of the building where he was met by the enemy and was nailed...alone. Offense then picked up the flag and brought it all the way home for a winning game. As it turned out, most of the players in this BG were a bit more older and we had a great time defending our one flag win. Some of us met in the following Warsong BG the next round and we had a ball deciding to run BG's at the same time of day (7 PM Central) and have been doing so for three days now. We do not always get the same players but so far the average is about three each game. I am having a ball in BG and we even considered rerolling toons so that we can do it more often. So, if your older and looking for a more...mature group to play with you may very well get into a Warsong BG with us. You will know us by the way we are laughing and joking. Hey, you never know.
