In Regards to the 2 Faction rumors.

take a look at this interview that was posted about a week and a half ago.

Around the 6 minute mark he brings up factions and how people are worried about the artificial grouping of enemy races.

While not much, they do acknowledge the concerns and that they don't plan on screwing up a la Warhammer online. Just not in those exact words.

All in all it's a pretty good interview.  Hopefully it will quell some fears.

And there will be more information coming this month from gamescom.
