I recently wrote a review of the game on my blog on MMORPG.com. People interested to test the game, or curious to know how it works can check it. I've been playing this game for a while now, with some interruptions though, but for me it's still one of the best and most original MMO game around. Unfortunately it does not shine immediately for the beginner and requires some understanding of the mechanics as well as the team dynamics to be fully enjoyed. A second expansion is about to be released, which will expand the low level experience as well as introduce 'morality' missions and allow players to switch from one side (hero) to the other (villain).
Enjoy, and thanks for your comments

A very accurate and well written review. Some things I'll add are:
* ULTRA graphic setting has recently been added to the game
* you can visit an NPC to tweak your solo difficulty up or down, fight as if you were 2 or even 8 superheoes! face bosses instead of archvillians (archvillians are tough as hell and will kick your ass solo... at least they kicked mine)
* while the missions are instanced the city sections themselves are wide open and expansive, you can access every rooftop or sky scraper in the game (assuming you have the ability to get there )
* like the OP said, the learning curve dealing with the character skill customization is present, but once you learn how the enhancements work it's a piece of cake
* I found the Auction House a bit difficult to navigate at first but now it's easy. It uses a "secret bid" system where only the past 5 sales prices are listed. Something could be dirt cheap one night but expensive the next. A true and accurate "supply and demand" economy that can change at a moments notice.
* you could spend hours at the character customization screen shooting off the different powers to see what you'd like to play
* push through the first several levels as the game makes you EARN your best and most helpful powers
Great review, I'd say.
One of the better ones I've read.
