its an IRC chat 3 of the dungeon designers attended in, gives a good picture of what to expect, dungeon wise. personal am really disappointed that every single dungeon will be instanced, make me wonder what the attraction for rifts will be, why will it be important to close them down when all the group char progression is happening in instances? am sorta worried the rifts will get to feel like trashmobs "brought to your door step"....but need more info I suppose, could hope that the open world activity is as rewarding as instances, but its just not the picture I get atm, getting the idea the open world mainly just will be for solo questing.
either way properbly will a good game just feeling abit meh right now, since were sorta hoping for a more open world, instead of the associal 1 group instanced worlds.

You should re-read it, it says near the end "there are non-instanced areas that feel like dungeons". Maybe wait until more info becomes available before making assumptions
but.. but... that would break just about every tradition of the forums...
I have read that point and you know it sounded like the guy could feel the disappointment in that there wont be any "real" open dungeons.
you are right we have to wait and see, but he did straight out say yes all dungeons are instanced so that we can create more special encounters than in an open world setting.
as said it feels like open world part only really is meant for solo leveling, not a fact, but is the picture Im getting now, which is like any other game these days : there might be areas that will feel like a dungeon is about as straight out as saying there is non but if you feel like its a dungeon we wont take it away from you. and am sure there really easy could be some small cave here and there you d be able to call it a dungeon if you really wanted to
