CE or Regular? [POLL]

For all you getting the game I was wondering if you were going to get the collector's Edition or the regular and if your going for preorder or not. Also do you think the preorder items are worth it?

Getting the CE for the password token thing and the extra head start. :]
I preordered the CE. I'm a huge FF fan and I love the art, so the CE has some nice options for me as well as the biggest, early access. That's all I care about personally.
Definitely a few weeks after release. Not because of anything related to the game, but because I have to get situated with class.

assuming i can get into beta, and i then decide it's worth playing, i'll go CE... otherwise i wont be purchasing until there's a free trial.
Regular preorder
I would've just picked it up at the store on release day, but a friend of mine went ahead and preordered 3 copies for me and one other.
Haven't checked if regular pre orders get anything special
I've pre-ordered the CE.
I think I'll go in this week to do so for my fiancé as well.
Poll is mad early but I was expecting some pre orders for the regular copy I think you get an ingame item a set of goggles or something like that ( I will edit with link to items when I get around to it in OP)
I preordered the CE. It was the first CE I've ever preordered for a game, actually lol. I mostly splurged on it because of the 8 day headstart. It's not that I'm not patient enough to wait, it's that the regular launch day also happens to be the first day I start up a new quarter at my university. I figured I'd give myself a bit of time to get settled in without overwhelming myself.
The item you get with it (the onion helm that supposedly reduced the KO penalty duration) actually seems less useful than the item you get for preordering the regular edition (the goggles that increase skill point gains) - especially since they recently reduced the death penalty debuff duration to 3 minutes.
It sounds bad, but I'll probably never watch the "making of" dvd or look at the traveler's notepad or any of that. I'm only there for the headstart and to some extent the included security token.
I cancelled my preorder because SE is being such a d1ck with OB. I wasted hard earned cash for nothing. It's not with it, IMHO.
SE hopes that hypes will make up their sales.. they're gonna be in a big disappointment.
Other companies had no problems releasing OB to everyone ... and it works out well for them.
just regular pre-order here, i don't really care about head starts.
Only reason i'm pre-ordering is because i've been burned by games being out of stock, so just in case.
CE here. The extra stuff is a nice touch, but the head start is what I'm really interested in.

Regular. I really love the FInal Fantasy Series, and I was deadset on getting CE til we found out what exactly what is in it. What woulda sold it for me was if they included the music tracks in it. Instead they're gonna release them as a completely sold item which sorta sours the whole CE for me. Everything in CE is something I can do without.

CE for sure. I am an avid Final Fantasy fan and love most FF products beyond the games themeselves. Therefore, a collectors edition box with Miyazakis art is awesome for me, and even better when it is for a game I can't wait to get my hands on! Comes with some other goodies as well.
Early access dosen't hurt either.

Real life brings repetition and pointlessness too. The only thing real life offers is Great graphics. Its kinda expensive too and way to dependent on the cash shop. Totally pay to win as well. No thank you. Ill stick to my games.
1. It clearly states that subscribing to fileplanet DOES NOT guarantee you will get to play. Read things before you click purchase.
2. The majority of companies that have huge open betas for the entire world actually don't do too well financially. A lot of people will cancel their pre orders after getting a taste of the game. Also, tons of asshats will try out the game and then spam all over message boards how horrible it is before it is even releasd, causing a lot of gullible people to stay away for awhile.
3. MMO's faired much better when they didn't have ridiculous open betas and all kinds of tricks to get you to join them.

You can post whever you like of course. However did you notice I didnt add an option for not getting it? Reason I did that was to maybe keep flaming away as many post here have become flame wars (that I have paticipated in no denying but its nto that I like to). I like gettong votes and seeing what people are going to do what your race class etc. etc. Nad its the same thing here I had thought less people even here would have gone for the CE and more for the Pre Order of the regular edition but its seems I was wrong. That 8 day head start seems to be the clincher.
CE pre-order...I have all the FF games and played them all. I think the authenticator can be useful since i had trouble with hackers in the past and finally the early access is really tempting.
Regular and CE both pre ordered.

Several nice extra items and the huge headstart for only £10 made the decision fairly easy for me.
Same reason for me! I want to get my gaming in for FF14 before school.
i can telly ou right now betta isnt nothing liek whatr elease will be like maybe some gameplay mechnics will but the ebta is very limited since we are testing what they WANT us to test
My only gripe with the CE is the SE in-game hat is better than the CE one.
