To give you an idea of what type of games i've been mostly addicted to.
I played diablo II for, switched to Tibia for like 8 yrs, and i played WoW on and off for 5 years.
I want a game to draw me in, preferable competative, i don't care to much about the graphics, or when it was released.
I'm mostly about the community. I want a game where u can get to know the sever, or get a feel for the other players on it.
Preferable a game with no level cap (not required)
i do like crafting (not required)
and i don't mind grinding
Even if u havn't a clue about a game for me, but feel like you'r currently are/have played a game that just sucked u in, and you've been playing pretty much non-stop, then tell me about it :P

DDO has a lot of the diablo-like feel . .. but I wish there was PVP in it. Not sure if you are recommending something like diablo but its worth checking out since its free. The dungeons in this game are really elaborate and I get kind of a nostalgic feeling knowing the D&D rules. I like the puzzles, traps, and graphics in the dungeons. The combat feels clunky when switching from one weapon to another (which seems to not work sometimes because I am too busy attacking) which is really annoying and the range of attacks seem to be off or maybe I am just lagging a lot. The most annoying thing about this game is kiting mobs that very quickly turn around and become invulnerable and look all crazy glowing white and they run back to where the fight started so I have to start over again and make sure not to go too far.
I have not played Tibia.
I am currently enjoying Darkfall as my main game and FPS shooters and Guildwars on the side. You can get any skill that you want and there is no cap but the combat is very fast-paced so you can do well using just a few skills. FFA PVP full-loot if you can handle that. PVP is not very often but very fast when it does so the learning curve is steep. Player made cities that are in constant war with each other and naval/mounted combat. That's my favorite game but can be the hardest out there so there are days where you can feel like a failure. The adrenaline rush that you get during combat tops any other game I have played. I've played it casually for 16 months and cannot really see an end game as there doesn't seem to be one. You may hate it but it has a free trial. There are so many skills in Darkfall that take so long to cap that nobody has capped everything but there really wouldn't be a point in capping everything since you do not need everything to win so this sentence is pretty insignificant other than the fact that there is always something to grind since you have to replace what you lost ever time that you die or use stuff. The PVE combat tops any other MMO in my opinion because of how much more realistic it feels reacting to your environment and using cover to counter the AI.
NEWS FLASH! "A bank was robbed the other day and a man opened fire on the customers being held hostage. One customer zig-zag sprinted until he found cover. When questioned later he explained that he was a hardcore gamer and knew just what to do!" Download my music for free! I found that Mabinogi has a very consistant community. While there are the random asshats, the general community is fun and silly at the same time. I like silly, vs serious business, but that's me. The play is even field since everyone can get pretty much anything, there's only minor differences between the three races play wise. story wise they each have different story arcs with the humans having the longest story, mainly because they've been in game the longest. There's no known level cap, as most people like to rebirth before hitting 100+. if you can get past point & click moving and anime style graphics, then you may just enjoy yourself.
Whats the general age? I feel like anime-style graphics often attract many people between the ages of 10-14, and a lot of immaturity.
Also i know it is f2p, is it pay to win? I made a char, that i enjoyed very much (though i took some wrong routes with him, lol) i logged in about a year ago, and my character was so old i got like 50 million titles and stuff lol.
I wouldn't mind going back to it, if its not pay to win.
