Question about a game

My girlfriend loves the Kings Quest games for the PC. I am looking to get her a gift for Christmas, and was wondering if anyone knew of any newer games that are similar to the playstyle of that game.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.::::19::

    Kings Quest & Police Quest games are classics...I think nothing will ever compare to those classic adventure games.

    I've found very few adventure games that were seemingly on par with those games.

    If no one can give you and advice on which new adventure games to get. Maybe if she doesn't have them all you should try to find a collectors edition of it with all 7.

    Syberia 2, Uru:Beyond Myst (Trust me, it's much easier than any Myst game out there, and is in 3rd person view, not first-person).  If she's a CSI fan, get her the CSI games cause apperantly they are amazing if you're a fan of the series.

    There's a whole bunch of them Mindscape and The Adventure Company took over the market for these kind of quest-exploration games.  Unfortunatly a lot of them are First-Person-View which turned me off from playing them.  But Syberia 2 and Uru are great.  Very challenging, easier than all the Sierra Quest series though, but at least you don't need a walkthrough to go through the entire game... all the puzzles are logical!
