Inactive accound decay?

in Final Fantasy XIV

You think they will continue to have your characters decay like they did in XI, when they deleted your chars if you didn't subscribe for x ammount of months? I sure they do not continue down this path, for it will only end in ruin.

I've done a quick google search, but found no info. Anyone hear any official word on this?

    No idea either, but I think they stopped doing that in FFXI a long time ago.

    My chars never got deleted even after a couple years of innactivity... thats all I have for you :)

    I came back to FFXI after a year and a half of not playing and all 3 of my chars were still there, with no deletion or "decay" of any  kind. I've heard of a lot of games that say they do these kinds of things, but none in my experience actually do it - besides F2P accounts that haven't spent a dime.

    I think what they did in XI, was they did delete chars, but they had backups somewhere, and they just re-enstated them.

    I just hope they learned, and don't do that any more.
