I like what the guy is saying, its music to my ears.

Thank you op.  In interviews like this I usually expect a corporate PR person spouting off cliches in a way that was predetermined to garner the most interest in their game.  I've not seen such a passionate, honest viewpoint expressed in many years concerning a game.  None of the pretentious business-manner baloney was present.

This, for me, is alone enough to compell me to buy FF XIV.  These guys seem to really care about the fantasy of their game.  They want to draw you into the world they created, not overwhelm your senses with hundreds of quests and neon lights.  In other words they are a game designers first, and businessmen second.   We need more of this in the genre these days.   Too many forget what RPG is.

Thank you.  It is sad to see what gamers have turned into these days so it makes me happy faced to see someone like you.

I love the part where he talks about how nothing would be a greater reward then for someone to be in awe at something uncovered in the world or the lore.  These guys care about immersion, story, and providing a real massive world to adventure in.  I will never forget some of the moments from FFXI, and I can't wait to experience new ones in XIV.

Thank you for adviceing the video. It is rare to see something like this. On the otehr hand than I imagine people running loling around and search straight for the fastest way to kill something.  A scary thought.
