So does anyone know if this game will be getting vsync or is there any way of forcing it?

cause this game has really bad tearing.

I'm pretty sure you can force Vsync with NVidia control panel and I think ATI has a similar piece of software.

If you have Nvidia NHancer isn't a bad bet either.

Seems odd. I know it seems obvious, but I'll ask anyway. Did you apply the settings to ffxivgame.exe and not the updater, boot or config program?

I guess that's the ATI version of NHancer. Glad you got it worked out.

Had same problem, lots of screen tearing, changing the setting in the Catalyst Control Center changes nothing, game was still tearing bad.  I download and installed ATI tool tray, made a profile using the ffxivgame.exe, force v-sync in 3d setting and BINGO !  no more tearing.

    Thanks for the tip.
