But my new lap top has windows 7 and um the sad thing is normson games or who ever they are now don't upgrade there downloads so it won't work with windows 7.... It's a older game and was actually fun to play if you want to play something that requires little time....it keeps saying i need to upgrade the skins i try to upgrade the skins from there website... but the upgraded ones they have are old of date.... Very sad...

New pc's or lap tops you buy use 7 and i have no idea why they don't upgrade there downloads...

The realm was actually the first mmorpg i'v played and i think a newer game like it would do really good... much better then the ones that have been made... It was fun back in the day :) you did not have to raid and everything was soloable but groupable... Randomly finding the best items in the game off of almost anything...

Nothing was to hard and you never actually had to play along time to get anywhere....

Not sure if any game devs read this but it might be a good idea to try that game it you have a older pc around that  don't use 7 and try it for a while... its changed at one time a lvl 1 could use the best items in the game and solo things 200+ lvls higher it was much more fun back then...

All someone needs to do is make a game like it with solo dungens that allow groups to be made to go in and decent towns with good graphics and much fun like it used to be and i think it would even do as good as wow... lvls are not supper slow and there can be pvp or non pvp. there is also duels...

You also have your own home in a town that you can telaport to useing a spell or a npc will take you to your house... i used to do house drops where you droped items you found in dungens that was very fun... lots of people would come and pick up items you droped and then at the end you would evict them.... they would be kicked out of your house after that :)

Something not as advanced as aion or wow is not needed to make lots of money we just want things to be fun...some of the older games like UO and the realm thats remade with todays graphics i think would really do well...

I would not mind playing the realm again but they need to upgrade so us older players with newer pc's could actually do it again. I'm not sure if many of you have played it but i think if you have you enjoyoed it...

Think think pink

Your laptop is broken, I just downloaded, and installed the free trial of the realm online and have been playing with no problem.

Playing on Windows 7 64-bit at that. No special emulator just the home version of win 7. I did adjust the screen settings for the program shortcut pre launch but that's just a personal preference.

So again, above poster is mistaken. Game runs just fine on win 7.

I have a problem with their "free trial" as they ask you to give them credit card info,   why?

They always have required CC information.  Too many people were opening bogus accounts and causing problems for other players.  You can only have one account per credit card ever, so the rule discourages these types of activities.  The company is a little too small to engage in more sophisticated controls so relies on the CC information to track and control its community members.
