as Tantra Open Beta is upon us (December 6th for those interested) i decided it's about time to give my views on the game so far...

Graphics - 7/10... the character models themselves are pretty nice looking, however the landscapes and architecture leave much to be desired...

Combat - 6... pretty much the same old thing but slightly sped up... if you've played games like L2 you'll known what i mean...

Interface - 4... you can move most of it around and all... pretty much the same old typical stuff... not very pleasing to the eyes though (IMO)

Appearence Customization - 4... 5 faces and 5 hairstyles for each of the 4 classes (male and female)... you wont look exactly like EVERYBODY else, but you will see quite a few clones... Armor/weapon choices also seem very linear meaning that you will have pretty much the same style of equipment on as another person your level (if they're the same class)

Sound - 5... not much i can say about it... pretty basic...

Character Customization - 9/10... deffinatly one of the best parts of the game... each character is comprised of 4 different stats... there's "Muscle" (which is like Strength), Nerve (which is like Dex/Agi), Heart (which is like Vitality) and Spirit (take a guess)... each level up you get 5-8 points which you can use on any one of these stats... on top of that you get 1 skill point every level which you can use to level up any skill from 1 of 3 skill sets... overall it allows you to create a fairly unique character best suited for you...

PvP - 8... it's alot like Lineage 2 (for those of you that have played it) however players under level 20 can NOT be PK'd (something L2 should have considered)... 

Trade Skills - 0... there are none...

Class/Race Diversity - 6... there are 4 different character classes, all of which are Humans... there is the typical Mage, an Assasin-esque melee damage dealer (although i've seen them fill multiple roles), a Barbarian style tanker, and a Monk style melee fighter who uses fists/claws... you can change your job at later levels but its just typical linear stuff... so overall, just 4 classes... nothing too spectacular... it really gets diverse in how you BUILD your character rather then which one you pick though...

Community - cant say yet...

Overall - 6... it's a descent game really... i couldnt see myself paying for it, but i could see myself playing for free ^^... it's really kind of a dumbed down Lineage 2 with zoning and lamer graphics/sound... oh... and no sieging (afaik)... i suggest taking a look and maybe trying for yourself, you cant really go wrong... http://www.tantra.com.ph
