I must say that I really like the combat in this game. It's something different, fresh and more exciting and brutal. I just hope there will exist more variety in skills and actions for each profession, I think it still needs more in that department to let players customize their skills/actions differently even though they have the same profession. Besides that, the combat looks really good. The graphics I already knew they are the best. The "fly" skill is much better than what I was expecting, something to really let us hooked. I like the "death crawl" too.

But I still have some doubts about other features of the game. What news do we have about:

    - I heard there is a story with cutscenes and all, but how exactly does that work? How does the story appear to me as a player when I'm playing and what comes from it?

    - About PVE: Do we still have to do those same, boring "kill 10 rats" quests in order to level up?

    - There will be raids? If yes, what are the rewards of doing them?

    - Gear?

    - Yes or No: KS? PK? Grievers? Campers?

    - Guilds?

    - How does PVP work?

    - PVP and PVE in the same server?............. at the same place and time or not?

    - Time to level up?

Every eastern mmo I've ever played was grind heavy, I wouldn't expect this one to be any different.

I'm sure they'll have some sort of endgame content, what mmo doesn't? Well maybe Eve doesn't but it doesn't need it.

I'm sure they'll have guilds as well.

These are all rather strange questions. Just how different do you expect this mmo to be? It's an mmo, expect all the usual mmo elements.

As to the rest of your questions you're asking for specifics that I don't think they've released any info about. I wouldn't worry about it too much, it won't come out immediately in the west (that includes Europe) upon release anyway. It may be a long time before it comes out in the west.

Hhhhmmm.... I don't want to specificaly brag about another game in this forum, but just saying that Guild Wars 2 is completely changing what you are calling "the usual mmo elements".

What I'm trying to say is, If B&S is this good in terms of graphics and combat, I just hope the devs bring something different that change the "usual mmo elements", like Guild Wars 2 is doing. I don't know if you noticed, but most mmorpg players were looking for something different from those usual elements for the past 10 years. Combat finally is changing in most mmorpgs that will release in the next 1-2 years, but if nothing more changes in each game, it won't have any advantage from all the others. A lot of players from the genre are rushing to the conclusion that games like TOR and TERA don't bring nothing special to keep players entertainned, except the combat and maybe the story.

B&S has the potential to become a really good game.... if the devs have a lot of fresh new features that change how mmorpgs are made and played. I mean, this game will have A LOT of competition: GW2, TOR, TERA, Rifts and other games releasing in 1-2 years, most of them P2P. Except for GW2 which has another advantage of beeing B2P, and bringing to the table the opportunity to play one P2P game at the same time, something that is very good for P2P games.

You're assuming that I think the 'usual mmo elements' are a bad thing. For the most part I don't. As it is the only one that most people have a problem with is grind, and I don't see mmo's getting rid of that, all mmo's have it to one degree or another, but some make it feel less like grinding than others.

But seriously, the other questions he asked, do you really have a problem with those aspects of the mmo? Are guilds a bad thing? I would hardly think that a game called Guild Wars 2 would be without guilds.

Gear? Well, this is more important to some mmo's more than others but most have gear in one form or another and there's nothing really wrong with that. The problem lies in having gear become the focus of the game, which I do believe is a bad thing.

Pvp? Again almost all mmo's have that element, and where you have pvp you're going to have griefers to one degree or another, unless of course you have battlegrounds dedicated to pvp; but wait, many in the community feel that's a bad thing too.

So what exactly is wrong wth the 'usual mmo elements'? There are just certain things that make an mmo an mmo, these are just some of them. Not all mmos have every element, but most have at least some of them. Jumping to a conclusion that these are somehow bad is also kind of strange, imo. Perhaps it's not the elements themselves that are bad, more likely it's how they're implemented that can be bad, so perhaps to some degree I can see you're point, but  it doesn't really change the fact that there are certain elements that make a game an mmo.

First of all, I'm not saying that the "usual mmo elements" are a bad thing. I'm saying they are old and completely worn off. Games need to change things from each other and not make 90% equal to the genre and change the rest 10%. I was saying that all MMORPGs that are beeing developped now are changing combat and maybe story, except for GW2, and if these games don't have any more things different from the other, than they don't have any advantage from each other. And this game has potencial to do that, if the devs do change things.

BTW, grinding is not the only serious problem, but is one of the worst. There are multiple serious problems thqat together are making the mmorpg players lose faith in each game beeing develloped. No wounder there are more and more people beeing anti-hyped agains games beeing developped.

Second, and this is important: I was asking what can they tell us about their ideas for Gear, Guilds, PVP... not taking them away. I might have been misunderstood because I just asked the words and wasn't explicit about what I wanted to know. I wanted to know if there are news about those features, and what about them is different and original.

Third and last, I was asking for news about the game. You see, all those games that were really hyped and than disappointed in the past followed the same pattern: 1 or 2 great new features and great graphics, showing us some videos of those elements, and never talk about anything else. Than the game is released, and players see that new feature is indeed good, but the game is like all the other games released before except the graphics and that feature. In other words, nothing more changes, and it's still boring, it wasn't worth the waiting. That's why games like, for ex, Aion were a big disappointment to most players. And I don't want to diminish B&S because we don't know much about it, but it's following the same pattern. Of course, I want this game to be a really good game because I want to play it and have fun.
