lobby server has encountered an error

first it was downloading, then it was getting to the "play" screen. then ingame now we get this.. i mean wtf comon.. everywhere there could be a problem there is a problem, nothing has gone smooth so far.

I remember you telling everyone while they were trying to get there keys to give up and try tomorrow. that sounded like you was trying to get people to stop so you could get yours. hmmmmmm
that is exactly what i was doing... and as far as i care, it worked.... i got a key. atleast im not on the forums telling people how fun the game is and how sad it is they cant play and rubbing it in their face.
i logged out to make a new char and now i to am getting the same error. so i would still be playing if i hadn't logged out.
wasn't trying to rub it in face was trying to say you can get in I did. so there is hope for those who haven't
I was playing a bit but i logged off to change my video settings since it lagged a little bit and especially the mouse has a pretty big delay but turns out i get this lobby error now.
What city did you start in i started in the forest one. looks amazing.

well so far the whole beta has been a giant joke. I LOL at how incompetent they seem. this was fine 10 years ago. not now.
I have never played an open beta for a game that has gone smoothly. And that includes recently released games. So yes this is the same problem GW2 and SWtor are also going to have if they have an open beta.
quality of the game aside, age of conan had more hype and more testers and it ran perfectly.
i never got into aoc beta or open beta for it. I did forget Lotro had a very smooth open beta now that i think about it.
i been in tons of open and closed betas , and while i cannot comment how this one is going since i do not care for the game nor did i apply, but i have never ran into an open beta which had issues on this magnitude (seemingly), especially logging in. Now imagine when the game goes live....it looks like the way the servers and login are formatted is that all the servers login through the same area.....wait till launch day
I'm gonna have to disagree with both of you and say that this game is not going any more smoothly than other betas, but its not going any worse either. This sort of thing is pretty standard I've probably never seen a beta start where A) The website used to obtain keys/create accounts didn't go down and
The server itself either didn't go down or wasn't able to be logged into. I pretty much expected everything thats happening right now since its completely completely standard for all Betas. For example in Lilneage 2 I used to actually haev a macro program constantly running that would just keep attempting to log into the server until it worked. Unfortunately You cant really do that with FF14 since you have to log in via the launcher and then the game starts up and once it fails the game closes again.
