Stuck at 47.3% after install and Now 2 file update?

So I downloaded the 4 files and game installed.  then crashed when i logged in.  I relaunched and it started the torrent client again to download 2 files this time(an update I assume)  but on file 1 I am stuck at 47.3 percent with 12 local connections and 39 remote ones.  I am assuming their server for the updates is down? or is there a trick to get the 2 file update (not the 4 file install).

Open up the patch files in an external torrent program and they will download in < 1 minute.  They are in my docs -> my games -> ffxiv beta -> downloads -> ffxiv -> d98235 something -> meta will have both the D2010-9-02 or whatever torrent files.  Open in another torrent program, dl, copy dl'ed files into the my docs -> my games -> ffxiv beta -> downloads -> ffxiv -> d98235 something -> patch folder and the meta folder and run patcher and it will be done.

Not sure what the problem is. Stuck at 47.3% also, so I downloaded the file through Bitcomet instead (took about 10 seconds). After putting the fully downloaded file in the patch folder (like every other patch I've down), it gives me a version error. I'm guessing they screwed up in the patch.

I did utorrent as well but now the game won't connect to the lobby >.<

Well I'm getting the same error through the official downloader, which has usually been working fine for me. Must be a general update error or a server issue.

I dl'ed in bitcomet and didn't get a version error.  When do you get it?

It's been posted in other spots, but just to repost, you can use uTorrent to download the files (a LOT faster).

For me in Windows 7 using D: as my main drive. You may need to change D: to C: or whatever your drive is.

Open utorrent and go to File > Add Torrent, then go to this directory:

D:UsersYOURNAMEDocumentsMy GamesFINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Versiondownloadsffxiv-betad96437e6metainfo

The 2 patches that we are currently stuck on are the D2010.09.02.2000 and D2010.09.02.2001, so add those torrents.

And when utorrent prompts you to place the file somewhere put it in:

D:UsersYOURNAMEDocumentsMy GamesFINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Versiondownloadsffxiv-betad96437e6patchd96437e6patch

Then just run the beta launcher and it'll have them all download and will install/patch.

Works the same for the older patches, too. =]

Same here stuck at 47.3 % and the updater itself has huge mouselag, maybe I should just forget about this.

Try the uTorrent approach in my previous post :)

the utorrent approach works just fine.  I downloaded both files in 2 mins, and the patcher accepted them and loaded to the login screen.  Sadly now we just have to wait til the servers are brought back up.  It is very easy if you have utorrent installed, as you can just double click the file and it will load into it automatically.

About 4 minutes before my post, however I downloaded them again through Bitcomet and it patched just fine.

    Now for the 13001 error...

From what i've gathered on reading forums, the 13001 error means the servers aren't up.

as i stated in original post I downloaded the first 4 files which is the game client f ine and installed the game.  its the patchs that are hanging I tried what poster below me said to download the patchs via another bit torrent client i did but now after placing them in proper spots the metainfo and patch folder I get version check times out.  even if i remove them i get this so  assuming its squares issue.

I launch the BETA launcher after that and it keeps checking version until it times out. Any ideas?

Well, unfortunately I don't think that has anything to do with your side, because it happened to me once.  It means you can't connect to the server to have it check your version (which means the server is most likely down).  Try again in a bit.

Same problem atm, could be they brought the patch check server down to try and fix the 47.3% problems.

Will try again in a few hours

ya even if u get the new patches the servers are still unavailable... the official site says its emergency maintenance starting a couple hours ago and for an unknown duration to fix the problem where the login limit is lower than supposed to be..

my guess is the square enix torrent patcher is down too cause it is somehow linked to the servers being down

my guess is it will patch fine when they let us back in...

i manually put patches in and got to log in but it gets the lobby error then exits..

    11024 Version check timed out.

I was also stuck at 47.3% so I opted for uTorrent. I have no idea if it works because the service is obviously down lol

I guess it doesn't matter that I have no key if I can't play the game anyways lol

Welcome to the club. You guys know what? I might as well just go for a run and be back in a couple hours to see if they've fixed it. No point in just staring at the screen like if your mentl powers could fix it huh?

Less people to compete against to get keys and to get into the game lol

You have foiled my devious plan!

Ah how I miss the old Closed BETA days when if you had an issue (there was plenty of them) you could just hop onto the official forums to get a proper explanation...

if it helps at all i got to play when it was up for a couple hours and i think the only people who are gonna like playing this are the people who liked FFXI...  they were built together and are very similar in feel and pace and style of game.... to me it feels like how the new starcraft compares to the old... I liked ffxi so i was having fun today... but i dont have any friends that would enjoy this as they did not like the first one... I mostly enjoy the style..

My biggest feeling after the first few hours is I'm actually thinking of getting an Xbox 360 controller or something because the keyboard controlls certainly aren't doing it for me.
