PS3 Controller?

in Final Fantasy XIV

I am trying to use my PS3 controller to play FFXIV with my computer, but am having a lot of trouble doing so.  I have installed motioninjoy and followed all of their instructions.  The controller will work, but I cannot move in FFXIV.  It seems only the right analog stick will work, as I can zoom in and out.  I attempted to map in FFXIV config file but still it would not work.  What is it that I need to do to enable this?  Is there an easier program to use? 

Note: I have 64 bit windows 7.  Yes, I have disabled driver signature enforcement.

    get a program called ds3 way better and make the whole thing work.

    ds3 is the motioninjoy gamepad tool

    sorry only know it by the title when u load the driver u want make sure the blue dot is on analog2, that what i did and i have no trouble then reload the driver

    In the Gamepad 2 spot, nothing works at all.  I can only seem to get it to work in the custom profile under MotionJoy_Profile_Demo

    the only other thing i can say it try check the ff14 config file and make sure the gamepad is programed right

    Make sure you pick Analog Gamepad 2 in the motionjoy window. I did that and haven't had issues since. After you do that, then configure the joystick in the FFXI config.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers using Gampad 2 and everything now works fine.  Thanks for all the help.

    how hard is it to set up the bluetooth wireless controller on your laptop if it too has bluetooth to play ff 14?  ive never used my laptops bluetooth so i was thinking itld finally possible be usefull to me lol......

    It depends on how much time you want to put into it.
