Race Name Styles

So I was thinking about character names. Anyone here play Lord of Rings Online, and you'll know that where your character comes from, you are given a few suggestions on what to name your character based on what that race and location's language comes from.

What do you lot think will suit the Charr, Human, Sylvari, Norn and Asura?

Norn - Scandinavian

Human - English

Sylvari - Celtic

Charr - Mongolian

Asuran - Hindu

I just went to the site HearNames.com to see how the Hindu names sound like, and IMO, they sound better if we believe they are said like they were writen in English lol But don't have a clue.

But you know what could be a good idea for the devs? Maybe they could just create a concept on how to transform our own names (or nicknames) into a name that adequates to that race. For ex: the language created by Tolkien give us the option to create a "elf" name using the meaning of our true name; and I saw something simillar in the internet some years ago where we could turn our name into a "Star Wars" kind of name.

They can just give us the hints and tricks on how to do it and then we do it by ourselves. Maybe the authors of the GW2 novel could help in that matter! Of course, there are people, like me, that have 3-4 (or more) nicknames to use and can get more with creativity, but that feature would be awsome in many other ways (I know some players that would love to use that feature).

I second that! Perhaps it could be part of their "Character Biography" which they are talking about.

Asura names are actually just short names with mostly one syllable or vowel they never go over 5 letters I don't think. My name shortened could be a Asura name.

Now on those Charr names. I'm not sure I have never heard of any mongol names apart from Temujin, Kublai, Chotan, Ogolai,Yesugei, Altan, Erke, Borte, and some joint word and names. I don't think Charr names are mongol names. I really think Charr names are just random creations but you could use mongol names. Doesn't matter.

Human names just seam to be Old English names with some other western European names.
