Mountain Passes, the 'Elevators' of FFXIV

Anyone recall Mass Effect? Their idea of immersive loading was to slap you in an evelator and wait. You didn't see a loading screen, but you also weren't doing anything else but just twiddling your thumbs. Well, that same element is in Final Fantasy XIV. And while you aren't sitting in a box, you have to take a break from the world to venture in a narrow mountain pass that seemingly appears out of no where. In my opinion, takes you out of the game as much as those Mass Effect elevators. Amyone else agree?

Exactly which pass are you talking about? I have been all over the place and not run into anythign like this yet. Are you sure this isnt' a lag issue to your end and not a design in the game?
