server lag

in Final Fantasy XIV

I got used to using the keyboard for the most part, but then server lag was eventually just too much to stand.  Waiting for response all the time is too annoying.  Any chance this will change on release?

    They are stress testing , one of the key elements listed for the Open Beta Phase....... A bit of a stupid question really.

    I hope you're right but Ive been told that in other games and then the release was no different than OB.  Its not just menus either.  Was playing as archer last night and couldnt get light shot off for extended periods.  This is an ability with no cooldown and I had full endurance.  Fortunately the mob too was lagging or he would have ate me up.

    To the best of my understanding the UI lag is universal for everyone but I haven't heard anything like not being able to use skills or whatever because of the lag (I only have the UI lag, nothing else). Maybe its a different problem or maybe you got some routing problems between you and the server thats causing problems.

    I kinda doubt the internet made the mob stop attacking.
