Need Help please :( EQ2 or WoW

So far one thing is true. Eq2 is better than SWG

I dont think amdriker444 is lying, or tried to start flaming here. As far as I know these are FREE forums, only admins can tell one to **** off. I value everyones opinion, so I would like to hear people who liked and didnt like with their reasons. Noone is forced to love eq2.

I liked eq2 so far. The quests are definetly not delivery boy quests (Accually doing a few delivery quests wouldnt hurt for easy xp). Graphics and animations are a must see.

However reaching level 20 I began to have doubts about the game. The problem is the underage of players and forced grouping. Creatures have too much health so soloing is tiresome, so groups are a must. As the creatures getting harder, you need a cooperative group who knows their job well. But now it became a common sight that badly injured players try to run aimlessly instead of circles around healer, while the healers trying to catch them so they can heal. Fighters forget to taunt. Those trying to fight from far attract other monsters into battle. After the fight group members are lazy to walk a few meters so they rest on spawn points, where new spawns kill them. When you try to tell someone to tell what to do you are answered with a 'why?' Its like a big kindergarten where you try to babysit...

I must say even with level finding a group became very hard. Zones are filled with shouts for those LFG every 2-3 seconds. But since many have different quests party wastes a lot of time which quest to do first. For underlevel members you have to do same quest again with no xp.

Whatever, these doesnt change eq2 is a very good game. I decided to play it till the point it bores than switch to wow, and play it for a while, and when it bores switch back and so goes. Both are good games, both games have downs. One must play both I say.

No kidding admirker. You bring nothing but garbage to this discussion. Like you said, you played EQ2 for like 2-3 weeks and all the sudden you're qualified to say if the game is good or not!? The zoning arguement is getting a little old as well considering the zones are huge once you leve your home city. The zoning complaint is a sign that the person hasn't really played the game that much or their just a fanboi. I think admirker fits both those descriptions.

Im quite sure the post didnt say eq2 fanboys only reply please. He wanted points of view and therefore I gave him mine.

As far as my opinions being rubbish, well I guess me and my half million friends are all wrong then ? I think the fact is eq2 fanboys cant stand the fact that they lost. Over and over we all heard how eq2 would rule and WoW would be a failure because of Blizzard's lack of experience. I just wish I hadnt been dumb enough to believe SOE would make a decent game after SWG disaster. WoW is a major hit and will soon become the #1 mmorpg in North America while EQ2 has already settled into a 2nd rate mmorpg role right there with SWG. 20 million dollars to develop and they barely beat out CoH, pretty sad if you ask me.

See thats where your wrong admirker.  We have all said WoW is a good game, but we prefer EQ2.  You are the fanboy who bashed EQ2 while hyping WOW, not us.  The more you post the bigger hole you dig for yourself.  Do you really think anyone's going to take your opinion seriously when it's nothing but ranting?  You and people like you are why WoW has a stereotype of a shitty community.  Thank god you don't play EQ2, I'd hate to have to deal with you while I'm in-game. 

With your stupid posts I can almost guarantee all you're doing is turning people off of WoW.  I mean, who would want to play with a person like you?

You talk about subscriptions now but wait till a year when WoW's graphics get out dated. When there's no more content left. You can't possibly compare EQ2's subscribing players to WoW's at this point in time. First of all, many many many people are completely shut out of this game due to the high requirements. One reason, I can't play till Christmas upgrades. Most of my friends are going to WoW because their comps can't handle it and they don't have the $ to upgrade. Secondly, yes Blizzard has WAY WAY WAY more fans than SOE. Especially, because of both their past track records. Do you realize how many players loved Starcraft, warcraft and diablo. To me starcraft is and always will be the best game ever =P. And finally, there's no PVP in EQ2. Many people turn away from it because of no PVP. Hell I almost did till I got hooked on it from my friend letting me play his char.

Conclusion, wait a year. Then you will see EQ2 at the top of the list. 1 year when the average computers will meet requirements and PVP will most likely be implemented. Then we shall see. LOL and if we can wait that long we will see who has the last laugh. Maybe you're right admrikker, maybe I am.

Also, there's no need to bash on admrikker. From his post, he gave great points with facts to back him up. If he doesn't like the game that's him. If anyone knows me they know I'm a EQ2 fanboy till I die =P But I see no wrong in what admrikker said. The point of this thread was to help the author pick between the two. He obviously would want both sides of the game, pos and neg. So if you really wanna be effective all you need to do is counteract with some pos things about EQ2 and some neg things about WoW. No need for bashing admrikker.

Tomorrow he be bashing WoW after tomorrow he be on another game.

First he has made some of the most stupid and pointless posts ever to grace our forums and that says a lot with so many such posts.

Second he was clearly ahead in the troll of the year polls till moderators closed it

Thirdly he trolled about SWG for the 6 or so months he was here and as far as we can tell from his posts he has only recently left that game.

 

Anyone taking admrikar seriously might as well come buy a pound of sand from me for $5000.

EQ2 Stinks. Another treadmill piece of crap mmo from SOE. Youll get bored after 2 weeks unless you are in denial like most eq2 players are. I feel sorry for them, i really do. They do their best to like this game, alas that wont make it any better.

Bland boring graphics and enviorments. Unless you have an 2000$ system with all settings on high, this game will look like it was from 1995 or something on your machine. Horrendous lag in cities.

But dont take my word for it, surf to the official EQ2 board and look at all the whine over there.

the way the games felt when i played them was.. like 2 twins separated at birth, and raised with 2 diffrent families, but something always stayed the same between them..
