And none of your friends are online.
You cant seem to find a group in any game to save your life.
And you got that feeling in the back of your head that you want some dorito's but you dont wanna get up because its too damn far away across the house.
Well, what MMO would you play in that situation?

Me, when I get bored...I basically find something else to do (put together my Warhammer Fantasy and 40k models) or I desperately try to find a new game to play, which isnt working as of lately...
MMOs Played: I can no longer list them all in the 500 character limit.
I play mmorpg.com.
Playing now.
Damn you, endless quest log! Damn you!
About those doritos, while you're up, how about grabbing me some, too?

Hahah yes, I play forums and blogs when I'm bored or burned out on my game of choice.
I fire up a SPG or turn off the computer and surf for a movie to watch. Most MMO' are too boring on your own for very long. I guess that is why I am looking forward to SW:TOR and GW2. I the game play will still be fun in both when your friends are gone. TOR for the BW RPG cinematic story and GW2 for non stop action without having to look for groups. Next year will be a very good year for the MMO IMO.
How many people long for that "past, simpler, and better world," I wonder, without ever recognizing the truth that perhaps it was they who were simpler and better, and not the world about them?

Sometimes I read a book, too, but I beat those too fast. After the last page, there's no real endgame (endread?). So now I'm out of books, except the ones I've already read ten times. I really should drag myself to the library.

Currently play Guildwars and Global Agenda as side games for when friends arent online and I do this while harvest/crafting in Darkfall on my 2nd monitor . ..

Honestly if I am in the mood for a mindless time waster or simply something to play while I am waiting for the wife to get ready I play Puzzle Quest.
(get ready to go out to eat or a movie I should add before someone says something tawdry)
Surprisingly fun little game.
I play "design your own momorpegger" which consists of a giant word document with assorted added pictures and diagrams.
Imagining playing as i add pieces to it is more fun than playing games i don't like
i play with myself...... then i usually take a nap cause it makes me tired
"Don't mistake a fun game for a good game... Checkers is fun to play but its not exactly the highest point of gaming design... and definatly not worth $60 plus $15 a month"
Lately I'll just go outside and work on the yard, take my car for a spin or see if there's any friends that want to hang out. I'm finding that I want to spend less time in front of my computer when my work consists of sitting in front of a computer.
Current: None

Tried: Lineage2, Dofus, EQ2, CoS, FE, UO, Wurm, Wakfu

I don't really play mmos anymore. I load up some kind of multiplayer game and just play that for a round or 2 but usually I call around find out who's free and then go out and make plans acordingly. In any case I spend less and less time infront of my computer. I have all but given up on tv as well. So now, whenever I can I go out and do things. And if nobody's available I grab a book and go find some place quiet and read.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
I usually play Civ 4, or continue my 300+ hour save on Oblivion w/ mods.
Been playing APB lately, but you can only handle so much of it at one time. Looking forward to Vindictus releasing so I can alternate between the two.
Writer / Musician / Game Designer
Now Playing: Skyrim, Wurm Online, Tropico 4
Waiting On: GW2, TSW, Archeage, The Rapture
MMORPG.com.
Definitely the best thing to play when you're bored, either if you get a good insight from posts towards a different MMO or you are just perplexed with the trolling/stupidity of other posts, you're bound to have some fun.
I did buy Final Fantasy I (virtual console), even though it isn't a MMORPG, I guess it classified as "what to play when bored".
Plants Vs. Zombies. I've no clue why but, I continue to play that game. This time around is my 3rd and I've spent hours making vids of it for youtube and here I am again playing through another session from the start.
I think it's because of Crazy Dave. It's that pan on his head or something.
I usually play Magic the Gathering on my PC or Xbox360 with either my friends or the AI, great challange and great fun.
Puzzle Games from my Arcade list always help me when I need a break from MMO's as well.
Wildstar (2013) & Elder Scroll Online (2013)

Enjoyed: WOW 5 1/2 yrs, LOTRO 3yrs, GW 1/2yr, DFO 1yr, EVE Online 3yrs, and Huxley (Beta).

Are there any MMOs out there have that are designed as a platform for minigames. where the company could write completely seperate mini-games that share resources?
( I always thought it would be funny if WoW had a zone with mobs running around and buildings going up/down based on some some random person's game of the warcraft RTS being uploaded and fed into the server )
I would simply pick a random MMO from my program files and play around or just act as a role-player.
I stopped picking WoW though, since I've really nothing better to do then just help newbies, and started other games such as Mabinogi or LaTale.
Yaay...first post.
I'd play teach the dog to fetch my dorito's. Which would eventully end up with a few minutes of distance crunching sounds, followed by me getting in my truck to go get more dorito's =/
1. Thats the beauty of MMORPG as they "should" provide you with plenty of content to enjoy regardless if your friends are offline.
2. See 1.
3. Unbelieveble but true I don't like dorito's, but regardless if it is something I really want only very awefull weather would prevent me from going to get it. Distance doesn't really matter to me.
4. Playing Fallen Earth, plenty of content to enjoy even if I am not able to find a group of hangout ingame with friends, and with content I mean, crafting, scavaging, helping others I don't know ...yet....doing missions, just going out and explore, experiment with different weapon/armors, taking myself on a unscripted journey/mission.
Overall apart from playing games I hardly get bored as there are plenty of things I do outside of gaming aswell in my free-time.
as im currently subbed to AoC WoW, and Eve, between those and this place, i dont really get bored... and if none of that appeals to me.. i fire up the old ps2 and play FFVII .... beats the hell out of watching ultimate big brother anyway...
