Is it possible to get into beta now,or have to whait till 10?And if you are F2P player will you be able to pvp ,only skirmish pvp or you can world pvp to,can i go to other land or casle and kill Gandallf and xXLegolassXx?I see that you can play monster can i play monster from the start or i need to be Elf and then become badass ugly goblin?Looks like game is very instanced,how big are thouse instances,like i need 1 or 10 min to go next map,and for the andgame how it is like wowish or other ?

perhaps dumb questions but i am new to this game.

I don't know if its possible to try beta now. Even if you could its not worth. Beta is on separate server and using separate game client so when you decide to play actual game you have to download new client and start from beginning.

As for PVP, in theory everyone can experience PVP paying or not paying player starting from level 40 have access to Ettenmoors PVP map. Although at level 40 you will have no chance. You need to have maximum possible level, 65 at the moment.

As for playing as a monster only paying players can have access starting from level 10. Turbine is considering giving an option to buy only PVP access at the new Item store. I think they do not want to destroy the balance allowing free players to enter PVP because everyone will enter as a monster at level 10.

Instanced are only dungeons not the world which is fully open seamless up to the Moria where when you enter you have loading screen. Again when inside Moria you can go anywhere without loading.

I _think_ you only get access to Ettenmoors if your a subscriber!  All of Ettenmoors is classed as 'monster play'

I dont play any PVMP. but I can tell you that this game offers Duelling beginning at level 6 or 7 or when ever you get out of the tutorial. The other player has to agree to the duel. Duels last from like one minute to several minutes as a rule and some servers may have events that have duelling matches. I have witnessed two on Landroval (events) it is a lot of fun.

 

This game is the kind of game that is at its best if you dont go fast through the levels. the epic quest line is possibly THE best questing in all mmos. there are certain quests that can really make one emotional. Its that good.

 

Speaking about game mechanics and combat, It is average as what most seem to say. There is some work being done to allow modding the UI , but nothing like  WOW.

 

The game world has a portal from the Elf/Dwarf newb area and does not have another portal until you reach the Mines of Moria area. I believe a F2P player can play in all of the land mass up to Mines of Moria. As F2P you may have to buy some instances or quests, nobody knows all the info until it goes live on the 10th. So That makes it a very large open world that includes Shire,Breeland, Lonelands,Northdowns,Evindim, Angmar,Trollshaws,Misty Mountains,Forochel.  Each region mentioned is pretty large indeed so when you add them up it is huge.

 

 the game is only just over half developed. When f2p goes live most end game stuff will be level adjustable. And End game at the present time is fairly good. But since The license goes to 2017, and we are not even close to Mordor there will be a lot more to come.
