They use the in-game engine. There have been no unique CGI cutscenes that I've seen. But the in-game engine cutscenes have also had voice acting.

So there should be no huge files for CGI cutscenes. But Maybe for the vocals as you mentioned.

15 gigs is not bad given the games graphics.  AOC was 27 gigs at launch

Mog houses are probably at least 1g of that, I am almost certain there are mog houses cause of Lily hills and 3rd floor of castle ul'dah both being blocked off with no purpose mentioned in OB. I believe some of it is Ishgard and more zones, some of it is items and recipes, and the last bit of it is voice acting and the rest of the story line quests.

SE will have their in-house QA (and prehaps outsourced testing depts) testing things that are not available in OB.

I always amazes me how ppl over-analyzed new MMOs lol. 15gb really? is it critical and justified for a post? really?

What's next? how their icon not using enough colors?

    ...

edit: VG have 18gb big deal

The 15gb is in referance to the current open Beta only being 9gb in size, so where and what is the remaining 6gb.

Also I think AOC has the biggest e-peen.  is around 30gb I think
