Ok. Dispite the fact that Metallica has about 10 good songs, their newest albums are just rehashed BS. Get some real 80s rock. Whitesnake, Cinderella, and even Def Leppard. Speaking of all this SKA crap you guys are posting, you should listen to some RATPACK. Some original post WWII SKA will do you all some good. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr....that is the good SKA.
Posts like these, in terms of "I like punk and emo!" just make me sick. I like music that requires originality and a lot of the newer bands are COPYCATS. I dare you to mention Lip Bizkit or Shinedown as your favorate band. I DARE YOU.

Personally, Vivaldi is my favorite classical composer, thought his Four Seasons are the only pieces I've heard from him. Try some classical if you want something REALLY different from what you're listening to now.
Yoko Kanno is good to look into to, she's probably the most famous anime composer. She does some catchy jazz tunes, as well as fast paced techno, with vocals, and various rock styles. She's one of my favorite modern composers.
I think I will pick up the Chevelle CD soon, I really like Vitamin R, Ive always liked them just never heard any of there other songs besides Vitamin R and that old one they had.
Any good sites that I can listen to the music that you guys are posting? I dont like to dl music from Kazaa and other programs.
I'll try to keep from vomiting while I think of Coldplay! (nothing personal, I just hate whiney rock)
I've gotta agree though...most of these bands are total wanabes. Same thing over and over. If you want something somewhat heavy, try Monster Magnet or OLD Sugar Ray (ONLY their first two albums are any good...they went pop after them...which I still dont forgive) or maybe even Powerman 5000.
Now for some real heavy F*ing music, can't beat Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Slipknot, Mudvayne, or (dare I say) Disturbed.
Wonder What's Next is a great CD, and This Kind of Thinking Could Do Us In (new one, I think that's what it's called) isn't bad either, though I haven't heard all the songs.
Hey guys. Lately I've been running out of songs to repeatedly play without tiring of them... There's been two songs that have been stuck in my head for a long time and I can't think of their names. It's been a while since I've listened to either one of them, but I've got the impression that they're, generally, fairly popular.
One is in the music video of this girl/young woman playing a piano while on the back of a semi or something like that... I remember a little of the song. says something like "fall into the sky" er... yeah. Sort of vague but I hope you guys can guess the name of the song as I've no clue... I'm sure I'll beat my head against a wall once I find out.
The other I don't know the artist/band to either and says something like "this is my life. not going to live forever"... The music sounds pretty cool to me. It's just been a couple years (wow) since last I've heard it. It's pretty hardcore rock I think. Nothing real heavy but certainly not light. Guys have any suggestions about the names?
"Put your foot where your mouth is." - Wisdom from my grandfather "Paper or plastic? ... because I'm afraid I'll have to suffocate you unless you put this bag on your head..." - Ethnitrek AC1: Wierding from Harvestgain
That would be the dirty jersey, long haired, acid washed jeaner Bon Jovi.
Yeah. It's My Life by Bon Jovi. Thanks.
PS. Now I just need to find that other song...

The only song I like from Led Zeppelin so far is Stairway to Heaven.
PS. Found the other from the name. A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton. Though I haven't listened to it yet.
