Nice
On Eorzeapedia's Aytherite Radio Podcast:
They state that the number one FPS killers are:
1.Ambient Occlusion- Turning this off greatly reduces hit to your FPS.
2.Draw Distance or Depth of Field- Also sort of reduces fps hit.
They also say you can mess with buffer to help a little, but if you set it too low you cannot read names above pc and npc heads.
Id like to know how to adjust gamma. Its too dark, especially when the sun shines in my window.
I can only find the in game settings under configuration. I have been looking for the out of game settings but must be missing something. Help?
Programs>Square Enix> FFXIVConfig. You can also config your controller there too if you are using one.
After you install the beta client, go to Start -> All Programs -> SQUARE ENIX -> Final Fantasy XIV Beta Version
There should be a "FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Version Config" tool there along with the actual client.
Additionally, you can go to where you installed it (not the 'My Documents' directory but the actual install directory which I THINK defaults to Program Files/Square Enix) and just start up the "ffxivconfig" file there.
Thank You!
