I am writing again on this forum because last time a group of people were very helpful, and I had a blast paying Anarchy Online based on their suggestions.
I have a new computer and system requirements are not a problem any longer. I'm looking for a game along those lines, basically a MMO Morrowind if that exists:
- I want diversity in the classes. I don't want that a lvl 10 thief be just like any other thief at the same level.
- I want to be able to play a decent solo class and join groups only from times to times (when I have a couple of hours ahead of me).
- I don't like when the missions are all "go and destroy a dungeon" based. They don't need to be complicate, but diverse: get something in a forest, take a message to someone, escort a guy to another city, etc. A bit like Morrowing.
- I have it when the universe is huge, the cities immense and you feel like you are in a computer based generic environment. I like that the cities are all unique, not only in architectural terms, but just that there is a spirit to them.
- I can't play a too technical game. Anarchy Online was borderline in this respect because it required to much time and effort just to understand the basic practical stuff.
- I'd rather have a medieval fantasy game, although it doesn't really matter actually.
- And last thing, if possible, I'd like the game to be fairly new, not to be surrounded by Jedis at every street corner when I am a lvl guy.
Thanks for your time and thoughts on this !

I would recomend WoW, from your play style it seems like you would fit in just nicely there. EQ2 is more grouping and more of a technical hardcore game. I would recomend going to the official sites and read about em before you dish out 50 bucks.

I think you would enjoy "Dark age of camelot".....there is a 14 day trial so you can make sure it is something you will like
I would of, based upon your other requests of course, suggested WoW but because you don't want to 'be like everyone else' I'm not too sure it completely fill your specifications. The talents in WoW are supposed to diversify classes into different styles but I don't know how in depth it is for rouges, which I only mention because you mentioned thief which is the closest in WoW. I have a Paladin and Priest that I have progressed through the game to a decent judgeing point, and the Talent points seem as though they will make a big difference in the performance of your character but I'm not too sure upon how it will seperate you from other characters. Well, on the priest it makes a huge difference but on the paladin it really depends upon if you are focusing on group or solo style but talents do do there job. Though based upon your other requests I would say that it would fill your shoes fairly well. Try to check it out though look into the class and race styles(left side of main page) as well as there pics of the day(right side of page). Also I like the quests in WoW quite a bit, but I have heard complaining about them, mabye a few more oppinions upon that area would help.

As was previously posted as well DAoC is a very very good game that could fulfill your requests in class and style diversity, but might fall pretty short upon diversity in quests when you find them. Soloing will be no problem, or will be forced into being no problem at least until lvl 20 since most of the world is populated by those who have been there for a while and have fortified themselves. But seriously I had no problem soloing in DAoC and I tried many many different classes. Also diversity in classes is handled pretty well within game, especially between realms. Also they have a what seems to be good expansion pack coming out.

I'll try to come back and suggest some more that I had in mind, but I gotta get some sleep.
