I'm currently bored to death, annoyed with and close to quitting WoW... again. And im waiting on GW2.

Would going back to the game today, after being gone for a long, long time be worth it.

Whats the player base like?

Do many ppl still play?

Has much changed over the course of a few years?

i havnt been following the game much since i stopped playing. so i dont really know what to expect.

Dk's = Fail..

Im a Ret pally moron!!

     I was in the same boat as you are this past couple weeks. (Except I don't play WoW). But I can tell a quick story and answer some questions based on recent experience.

    Anyway, I haven't logged on GW since earlier in the year and went to log it. Got an error message saying to contact support. They said my acc had been compromised by gold sellers and they locked it (no idea how) anyways, I got my account back after some great support but all my armor / gear / stuff had gone. 1 Character deleted (not a major one). I had the obsidian armor that cost a fortune too. Well the gold seller left 800 Platnium in my bank and nearly all mini pets and a ton of other stuff lol.

    Suffice to say I went out shopping and found a lively player base still. judging from the chat there were people coming back to play to reminisce whilst waiting for GW2. The markets were busy places on each continent, still a few new people are ascalon area too.

    A lot of the skills have changed here and there, there were lots of updates to my skill sets and the game told me what had changed. Read up a bit from the latest patches. In the PVP area's people were discussing new builds still so I tried a few out. (I keep still trying to jump) but the PVP still gives that satisfaction when you have a decent build or a good one on one.

    I am now happy to play again, casually, over the next few months and re-live some great in game moments that I last had 5 yrs ago.
