How does one Repair there armor/weapons

I have been trying to fix my weapons/armor myself. I have the item it says i need "Bronze Nugget" and i place that and the item to fix in my sycth. After that I can't do anything. It tells me that I cannot make anything with those Materials.

What do I need to do to fix my own stuff?

To repair an item, you need to equip the appropriate Crafting Tools, craft skill level, AND the repair material. You can also Seek Repairs, which allows nearby Crafters to repair the item for you. I have not tried this one yet so I can't say for sure how it works. There's also a few NPCs that repairs items, but I personally haven't found them yet (though I didn't quite look for them either :P )

The NPC is in the West Market I believe. He has a dialog to repair it himself, yourself, or to have a crafter do it.

You need the appropriate tools, repair item, etc. You should be able to select the item itself and select Repair.

(I've yet to be able to repair something myself, I use the npc and it only goes to 75% with them )

Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.

Has anyone had any luck finding out how to repair their armor yet?

I know about the guy in the city who could, but I would like to learn how to do it myself aswell.

Trying to figure this out before game comes out.  I've tryed to repair my Weathered Gladius, and put my bronze nugget into the "syth" with the sword. Nothing happens. Do I need to be higher LvL to repair?

    Please help me out =P

I have yet to be able to repair an item.

But I think it works like this:

    Equip crafting tool.

    go to Inventory.

Select item. In the item description there should be a Repair button.

Tell me if it works =)

go to your inventory click on the item that needs repair when the item details come up there is an option for repair. Click on the repair button as long as you have the right tools equipped for the necessary repairs your good. ala Armorer toosl to repair heavy armor blacksmithing for weapons. weaver for light armor and leatherworking for leather armor.

And as long as you have the required repair component in your inventory that is it all you got to do.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet was that you can't be wearing or using the gear when you want to repair it.  Which can be annoying.  Come on, Square-Enix, cut us some slack that our player character is smart enough to remove things temporarily when they're repaired.

So overall, to repair an item:

    • Equip the same crafting tool that would be used to create that item.

    • Unequip the item to be repaired by selecting it from your character's attributes and gear screen, then selecting it from the list, then select unequip.  (Undergarments cannot be removed.)

    • Go to your items section.  Find the item in your inventory.  Note the required repair materials.  Select "repair."

    • Place the needed repair materials in the crafting window and combine.

    • Viola: if you've adequate skill to repair the item, it will repair.  (There is some randomness involved in which the materials may be lost.)

There might be a quicker way to do this via macros.  At the very least, you can remove and re-equip the item quicker that way.

I know there is no use complaining about the draconian UI but god...right click repair..wouldn't that be nice.(Especially considering how fast equipment degrades)
