FFXIV Chat Window - I can't resize it.

I made the accidental mistake of making my chat window too big.  Now i'm trying to resize it back to normal, but won't let me.

 

What I mean by this is that when I hover over the edges of the box, the sideways or up/dows arrows do not show up.  I've tried different resolutions in game to get it to go back ot default.  It does so temporarily, but when my chat window fills up with the combat log, it goes back to being the big size again.

 

I'm trying at this point to go to default settings but open beta config client doesn't have that option.  I've tried all resolutions, windows/full screen, but no go.  It just becomes really big and takes over teh whole screen.

 

Anyone know where the client side saved settings folder is? Maybe if I erase the character settings, it will go back ot default...

 

I'm really getting annoyed, and no this isn't an opportunity for trolls to flame the game.  I actually love the game as is.  Just help me solve this problem.
