How did we go so long without the "RPG" in "MMORPG"?

How large were those wall of texts going to get before we chose to stop reading them?  (see what I did there?)

How long were we going to grind before we got it into our head that grinding was defeating the purpose?

How many glands did we have to gather in order for this npc to finish his recipe for good?

How many times did an npc need our help against the same raiders before he was really saved?

How much did that npc lose if we decided to ignore him?

How many seconds should a mob take to respawn to make it dynamic?

How many times did we look at that beer mug and wish we could just smash it over some guy's head, let alone pick it up?

How long were we willing to wait for a dedicated healer and a dedicated tank to join our group?

How much griefing and kill-stealing is acceptable in your daily MMORPG routine before it becomes too much?

How did routine become routine in a world where you try to get away from it?

How many times can you travel the same old map before you know what to expect around the next corner?

How many $15 payments or cash shop charges were we willing to fork out for those classic MMORPGs?
