So when I woke up this morning I immediately double-clicked the Vindictus icon to see if the servers were up. As we all know, it takes us to the website, where we can log on and see that the servers are offline.
I then did my usual web surfing, and noticed every page I went to, loaded extremely slowly. So I rebooted my cable modem and router. That seemed to fix it right up. All my sites, including this one, loaded quick, and all was normal.
Fast forward a couple of hours, and I try Vindictus again. Servers still down. Go back to surfing, and everything is slow as hell again.
So I rebooted my PC this time, and the speed is back. I then decided to test my theory that Vindictus was causing this issue, and sure enough, after trying to log onto the game, my internet speed (or at least the speed in which it loads webpages), is drastically reduced.
Fast (normal) - pages load in .5-1sec
Slow - pages taking over 15-20 secs to load
So...anyone else getting this?

Can't say that I have experienced the same problem. Im on firefox, and havent really noticed anything slowing down after visiting their website numerous times today.
Yes I experience this as well and also Vindictus website got disconnected lmao, so that tells that over a 100k people are watching for sever up message, some are even sleep at the desk while still clicking page refresh with the only finger that is awake.
Yeah, closing the Vidictus web page doesn't seem to help. Only way I've seen to fix it is to reboot completely. It's kindof like when you are downloading a torrent, or a client that's using a torrent delivery system. It slows down your internet.
I havnt had these issues with the vindictus loggin yet, but yours could be related to that,
If I had the same problem as you, I'd try removing cookies, and reinstalling the browser you work with. Cause something between, software-and the adress it goes to is not working propperly
I bet you could fix it temporarilly aswell if you reboot the network addapter the connection uses for example (because it breaks the connection basicly).

I have encountered a similar experience when accessing the Vindictus website. In my case, I found that if I deleted my browsing history via the Tools option within Internet Explorer, the issue was resolved and the load times of websites returned to normal. I have tested this several times, as in the OP's case, and found the solution to work for me.
It's part of the in game video capture function that Vindictus offers.

It has nothing to do with your network crapping out.
I was gonna reply to this thread and say I wasn't having any problems and that these people were crazy. But I uninstalled pando as soon as I noticed what it was doing. Little tip for everyone, try to have a bandwidth monitor running at all times.
The pando service runs in the background and is constantly uploading whatever you downloaded by using it. Uninstall it or at least kill the process.
Thanks guys. I just uninstalled Pando Media Booster, and in the process of testing now. So far, everything seems cool.
Thanks from me too...I never evne noticed pando had bene installed and was about to giv emy ISP an angry call!!! LOL
Yes, like others have said. Uninstall Pando. Also while you are at it search your programs list for Akamai. It is very similar to Pando and some other games use it as well.
Both tools are basically torrents running the background during your install. They help you to download the program. The problem is that they continue running and seeding the application after you finish your install. If you have a monthly limit on bandwidth usuage this can be terrible for you. So promptly uninstall each application after an install completes. Always search for those two names if you after installing a new game, specifically if it is free to play.
yep yep that pando media can be a "stich" and most be removed after install for cool runnings
I heard the pando booster helps to prevent DC from certain mmos. Is this true?
If it does anything for disconnections it causes them. Not prevents them.
^ This. Pando media booster will upload your game files when you have it installed. It doesn't matter if you have it running or the program isn't anywhere to be found. if you look in your process list it will be in there at all times. I remember a lot of people started getting lag when allods came out, then would uninstall pando, and it would fix the lag completely.
As far as I can tell, Pando doesn't get installed if you select the tranditional download method from the site, instead using the "Installer". At least, I can't find any trace of it this time around. Of course, it's a 1.9GB file, so you'd better be confident in your connection.
