Coming back to Aion

Well, after watching some of the expansion videos, I decided to come back and see what all the fuss is about. I started playing the Korean version of Aion in March of 09, then hopped over to the Chinese client, then finally played at launch. After roughly 6 months of pure grindage, I threw in the towel.

I came back this time, only to find my account hacked. NC Soft's customer support was great, and they got my account back to me after a couple days (thankfully I saved all of my confirmation emails to back up my claims). I was back in the game yesterday.

It looks like there have been a bunch of changes, all of which are good. The grindage has definitely been toned down, and the quest markers all over the map help out big time. Definitely getting more XP for everything, too. All in all, I'm pleased with the changes and will be sticking around this time.

Just my $0.02 for anyone debating on whether or not to come back.

I tried the first solo dungeon lastnight and had a blast.  I'm glad they added these for the lower levels as I was getting behind on levels.  I need a double xp weeeknd.
