I thought I would share this site with you all. Everyone is welcome to take a look and give some feedback, actually I would really love that! All MMO players welcome, no matter what your play style!

We're aiming to be a social site for other gamers. Where you can go to post if you're looking for a guild or if you're a recruiting officer, search for those players that need a guild. When filling out your profile it's pretty much like an app so all applicable info is right there at a guild's fingertips, but again NO PERSONAL info!

Our focus is  the MMO audience and the social profiles are created based off of peoples MMO Characters. Sorta like roleplaying while you're game is down. :D

Come by and let us know what you think!! If you like it, tell your guildies and friends!

Halloween Peeps are in stores now. Get them while they last. They will come in handy when the Peeps diorama contests start up.

    Feedback?

Your site looks like it was done by a 15yr old using a Guild Website Template.

    Ouch.

You wanted my time, so I played you. You wanted my money, I forked it over. You wanted my soul, I gave it willingly. Not to complain... but when do I get my end of the deal? And no, I don't want your flippin' carrot. If you can't do that give me back my youth and keep the change. Why don't you try chasing your own damn carrot for a change? I'll gladly hold the stick.

Don't kill the guy. They may have hopes.

I looked at your site. The question is the concentration. To me it's not clear in first sight what you want the site to be.

    Ouch.

    Very true.

I found this site in the off-topic on the Rift: Planes of Telara forums, and you need to give this guy a break. It's a great idea and a site I know me and many others have been looking for. A sort of FB for gamers that doesn't ask for any personal info. Now, just like all other new social site, getting the word out is priority #1 and I can't blame the creator for his 'shameless plugs', it's a good idea and has all the functions of FB (afaik) :)

Anyway, to the OP, I finally signed up :) going to advertise it to my guild :P

The problem is, Mercanator, is it's nothing new.

Sites like this have been around since before MySpace was popular. Then when MySpace got popular, people tried to make sites like MySpace for games and failed. Then, when FB became popular, the sites started copying that. This is probably the 10th or so attempt I've seen just since 2008 when FB really started gaining steam. (Yes, I know FB has been around longer. I joined in 2005 when you HAD to have a college email address to sign up)

I have seen sites with the exact same concept done with alot more professionalism and with alot more put into advertising (hundreds of thousands of dollars in one case) fail miserably.

I hate to say it, but this thread is nothing but spam for some random site that someone created in their spare time.

There is only one site that I've ever seen come close to creating a FB/MySpace social networking site for gaming, and that's just because they included a well done Instant Messenger that works in games during fullscreen mode. XFire

And yes, I know you're just probably an alt for the OP. Doesn't make my post any less relevant.

Facebook can contribute the majority of it's success, to the fact that you only need 1 account to access more content than it's humanly possible to consume.
