Wing commander online - PLEASE ! .........someone make this game
God after playing eve for a long time (and I still love eve) and watching Star Trek Fail (in my opinion it fails cause star trek was about EXPLORATION )....I hunger for a 3D FPS perspective space sim that has some story behind it and maybe some mystery and danger
Wild West online - Omg how cool would it be to play a wild west first person shooter that had history and capture the hardships of the time .....that of the lawless vs the lawful and the building of a new nation (check out battleground Europe for the PC and RED DEAD REDEMPTION - PS3 for ideas)
Various sports online ( Like a baseball mmorpg that has elements of mmorpg Like working (sims style) and crafting Various "stuffs" to sell to support your pastime * like that of making the team) can even have apartments houses and afterhour social events between games to meet other people ) dont only have to be baseball .....all sports even a wrestling mmorpg would be kick arse
Band online (pick Rock/rap/oldies/country/jazz...even talk radio as a career path) and have it playout like the Above sports online game .......The success of the Rockband series of games is all the justification for some gamemaker to make this happen *******this is a billion dollar idea layed into YOUR lap *(dont forget me when ya make a kagillion dollars Im poor please help me 
Mankind Online *(or call it LIFE ONLINE) - A progressive MMORPG that takes us from Caveman online to space online (with each ERA being tied into each other as the player progresses he has option to launch into the next stage or shard ) The only mmorpg ya will ever need

Give it long enough and probably all of those will be made.
The ones I think are the most interesting are the wild west and the evolution one.
Hey, that was my idea even if I want it to be more like a mix between CIV and a MMO. I also planned to quit it at the mid 1800s...

We are all gamers here and we all want the perfect mmorpg experiance ...im just glad a website like this one is accepting of our hobby
Because of PC games I have learned alot about PCs something this 40 something never thought possible
Gamers come in all shapes and sizes .......and im glad to see that at least 3 of us are not all about the twitch based games that dominate the landscape
I sure hope these games are made .......there is alot of money to be had here and Id be super happy to hand over mine to any and all that would make these games not just an idea or want but a REAL mmorpg

Wing Commander Privateer might make for a good MMO.
Yeah, that would be sweet, except you would only be visiting the certain time periods for a certain amount of time. That is, unless you had to jump around through time to level and endgame was all over the place. Otherwise it might get a little boring once we reach modern era.

Mankind Online. The game starts on a very very early period and sets off with players researching and discovering things. Once it reaches this era it could cary on to space or start over.
I would love to see a Cyberpunk or Shadowrun MMO, or maybe a Battletech/Mechwarrior MMO.
And with World of Darkness coming out already that has the Vampire/World of Darkness from Whitewolf covered....

For the space thing. I'd suggest you look at infinity the quest for earth. Though it might be a few years until release. It does seem to have all the features you are looking for.
As much as I would love a game based on that one, I dont think there is any way they could pull it off and be true to the fans. I feel it would be nothing but high hype and a dreadful demise upon launch. Fans of this are about as fickle as Star Trek fans, maybe even more so. I am one of them, and I just can't for the life of me see how they wouldn't destroy the concept from the start.
