Game price in 5 different country

in Final Fantasy XIV

I looked the game price for the collector edition on Amazon in 5 different country :

Amazon.fr = 81.48 Dollars / 62.50 Euros

Amazon.com = 74.99 Dollars / 57.52 Euros

Amazon.de = 73.64 Dollars / 56.49 Euros

Amazon.ca = 72.65 Dollars / 53.98 Euros

Amazon.uk = 62.50 Dollars / 47.93 Euros

 

Cheaspest country is United Kingdom , most expensive is France for the same game.

    I actully saw the game for sale for ~25 euros on some site I was on earlier today (wish I could remember what it was).  Of course, that wasn't the collector's edition.  Still, roughly $30 - lucky guys.

    Here in spain is the same price as france, i bought mine from the uk.

    Thinking about I should have ordered it over the UK, special since Amazon still shows the 25th as delivery date by me.

    Im getting mine from play.com, in the Uk. The same price as Amazon uk. 62$/£40, they just shipped it today so i am all set for the launch, yay.

    I'm ignorant to the reason why their prices would be different. Is it because of taxes?

    I would say taxes, at least in the case of amazon, additional to that great britain still uses an other currency than europe. To this you can also add price psychology.  In the case of germany we often pay for example way more money for the PS3 games for example than the USA does.

    Those prices exclude the shipping cost and tax (Europe here)

    I was going to get it from amazon but with the tax they put on the game for europe it became more expensive then play.com one.

    Amazon + shipping + vat = 60 euros

    Play + free shipping + vat = 55 euros

    The shiping is Free for amazon.FR dunno about the other country. Maybe its why its more expensive because they include shiping.

    Nah the shipping was actually cheap but the vat no it was like 5 euros or something near that.
