I've just made a preorder from amazon.
It cost me 60 €.Prety fair.My local store charges standar edition for 50€.
I've made a very clever purchase 
Some of you may say dude whoot but im a FF fan and my first ff rpg was final fantasy 7. My insticts tell me that FF xiv will be a big surpise for everyone and that will see a great sucess after 3 to 4 months.
I was thinking between Rift and FF xiv but after spending some time in the Rift forums and seeing some videos i can say that im dissapointed.It's an wow clone with better graphics and Rifts :P(oblivion copy?)
The good think is that i can play sth while waiting for Gw2.
So i ll stick with ffxiv and along with it ill be playing what else Gw2.(damn i have to work also and stick with bars and clubs as well.God shoud had made 48 hours per day)

you have the sophistication of a toddler in a sandbox.
A person who knows what to look for would find infinite mystery in such a thing.
Some question why the toddler reaches for the bucket, as opposed to the toy truck.
Other question why one could question such a thing.
Either way, it's just two sides of people watching.

It is kind of amazing the amount of flaming that occurs just when someone says they like the game. The outrage!!

I understand the excitement that made you post! I understand you wanted to share it with everyone. In fact I just placed my preorder at the local gamespot for the CE as well. And I had initially planed on making a thread just to say how excited I am about it haha. Just last night I decided I was going to get a computer and play FF14, so i got parts from a friend and bought some, and soon ill be ready to go.
Its funny, the trolls love to tell us about their bad experiences with a download client or a beta, they think that we should have to read that. And when we say "we have heard this already move on" they say "well then dont read my post, choose your battles". And yet you post a jubbilant message of excitement and they are the first people to come in from other forums like Tera and cry Martyr!
Stupid trolls, they want to spoil someone elses fun because they aren't as confident in the quality of their preferred game as we are in ours. They are upset 1. because we will soon have a game to play and 2. because we are all very confident that we will enjoy it, whereas they 1. have nothing to play but MMORPG.com and 2. aren't even sure that their new game will turn out. Pitiful really. But I feel sorry for them. Because I know Ill enjoy my friends and fun in FF14, but they have nothing but high hopes and bitterness.
