Will Gamestop ship Early? 9/20

I know this is pointles but who cares? It would be great if they did ship it early so we could instal and register out CD keys.....If I remember correctly Aion shipped 1 day early.

I'm not sure they can. I think theres some kind of rule saying all companies have to sell their games at or after a specific date. Releasing early could get them in trouble.

I went with Amazon. It also says it doesn't ship until 9/21 (still promised to be here on release day) but assumign that they have already gotten the games I don't see why they would do this considering how cheap release day shipping was with amazon (only 79 cents).
I'm hoping it is sent out tomorrow, I guess I will know if they charge my card.

Just noticed Amazon doesn't have the 'release date delivery' showing for the CE on the site now so I'm guessing you won't get delivery on the 22nd if you order now. I'm also guessing that means the existing orders have been packaged and possibly shipped for delivery already. But I imagine there is an agreement with UPS that those shipments will be delivered on the 22nd but not before.
Edit: I should have said you probably can't get it on the 22nd from Amazon now unless you pay for expedited shipping.

No I'm in NA. It's not showing on my screen for CE but shows for Standard. Maybe that part is dynamic content that doesn't show because I'm logged in and already ordered.
I suppose it depends on when they get their shipment, since I don't think Square-Enix would really care if we get them early seeing how we can't play the game until the servers are ready. In any case, the servers won't be up and available until the evening of the 21st.
Yeah, I just cancelled my Amazon pre-order because of this. I will just camp Best Buy 5 mins before it opens on the morning of the 22nd instead of waiting until the 24th...
Camping stores, let me know if it drops anything good. Use caution while camping it though, there are some nasty trains from the ones camping it behind you. They'll try and steal your camp and claim it's free for all anyhow.

Whatever else the Gamestop site says, my actual order states that the game ships on the 22nd. Also, it says 'please allow 1 day for processing and 1 day for transit'.

It says it ships on the 22nd same as my order page. So I doubt shipping on the 22nd means same day delivery. I was annoyed at this so I bought from Amazon.
Doing exactly the same thing. Not sure why I would spend $25 extra plus shipping on a game when I lose 2 days out of the week early advantage...
My order with play.com got shipped today. I will have it tomorrow. I have no idea why gamestop would not be able to do the same, it's ridiculous.
I preordered at my local Gamestop, the CE, But the guy said he couldn't garuntee that Id qualify for the 8days. I will right? Thats included in the CE, i dont have to preorder it online?

Mines with amazon, which is shipped tommorrow the 21st with release day delivery of the 22nd. (release day delivery was .99 cents when i ordered)
I've pre-order many games off Gamestop website... about 6 or so of them were overnight shipping.
All of them I got on release day.
I could just be really lucky, but from all the games I've pre ordered on gamestop.com they have all arrived on release day and some of them I didn't even choose next day shipping but cheapo ground and still got them on release d....
I have never been able to trust the online places to deliver though the mail on time. I am sure they are great but I just can't get used to the idea. So if I order something like FFXIV and want to be able to get it for sure on the release day I order it from the local gamestop and go pick it up after work. If, on the other hand it is something that I don't care about getting in late or even at all, like WoW Cataclysm, I just go ahead and order it though amazon.
I doubt they break the street date. I know with movies and music the street date is very strictly enforced. If the distributors find out that a street date has been broken they will stop sending their releases to that store or chain before the date. So in the bigger chains, putting out something too early can cost you your job. Software is of course a newer thing but it seems to be treated very similarly so it wouldn't surprise me if they had the same policy. Especially if the title comes from a large distributor. I doubt Gamestop breaks the street date.

Amazon is pretty good with release-day shipping, if you pre-order early enough. If you're trying to get release-day shipping the day before the game comes out, then there is no way it will work, but if you're like me, and plan ahead, then you're fine.
I just check Gamestop and they are Verifying my order, so I headed over to my online bank account and it's processing as well. Gamestop says they will not charge your credit card until your order is ready to ship. I bet I'll get an email shortly giving me a tracking number! woo hoo!
