Not really sure, the best ones of 2011 have not entered beta phase yet.

GW2, Rift, TOR, TERA and possibly WoDO all seems to be fine game but as far as I know are they all in Alpha phase yet. Any of them can start the beta soon but currently do the games in beta seems like slim pickings to me.

I am also VERY excited about Uncharted Waters Online, I have not been too intrigued frankly by any of the upcoming "AAA" titles.  I played UWO in closed beta, and they had to shut the servers down to get me to stop playing ^_^

However this is admittedly somewhat a 'niche"  title, it is not meant to appeal to everyone. But for anyone who ever enjoyed the classic Uncharted Waters: New Horizons" KOEI game, then this game (also made by KOEI, managed in the west by Netmarble) will be a definite "must try".

Right now nothing that I anticipate is in beta yet that I'm aware of and the only game I'm anticipating personally is TOR anyway most of the other games are losing simply because i'm a bit burned up on the hack and slash stuff and without an ip I would be anticipating I don't see myself having the desire to learn any new ones.

but yeah, to call this game Fantastic is like calling Twilight the Godfather of vampire movies....

I think I read WoDO wouldn't hit 'till 2012 at the earliest, but other than that my list would likely mirror yours.

Most anticipated is TOR hands down. Also looking forward to TERA and Rift.

UGH.... I can't stand trailers that feature no in-game footage. If I wanted to watch an animated film or series, then I would. If I want to play a game, I would like to see what that game will look like while I'm playing it.

Here is a great example of how to make a gameplay trailer:

    TOR

GW2 would beat it from a mor eobjective place, I just dont like fantasy. At least Star Wars is fantasy disguised as Sci-Fi.

Now that FFXIV let me down, I can look to the future again. For me it's a tie between GW2 and SWTOR, mainly because of the pricing and payment options. I'll be able to buy GW2 and not worry about a monthly fee and purchase SWTOR and have that be my monthly fee MMORPG of choice. I WILL be buying both no matter what, hence why they tie.

After that I will be grabbing Rift. Tera....I'll try but it looks too much like Aion for me to get excited about it.

For me it's GW2 hands down.

    Guild Wars 2.

SWTOR is starting to look alot like a graphically superior STO, so I'll go with GW 2, just because there really isn't anything decent on the horizon other than that.

    For me its TOR.

I'm playing the Rift beta since nº4 and also look forward for the game.

Guildwars2 is also on my map, but Star wars and BioWare have the spot lights :)

from those we know something about and can base our anticipation on that for me it is GW2, otherwise it is probably WoD

Prolly gonna get attacked by Rift fanbois, but sadly, realistically, i dont think Rift is gonna make it, once the hype dies down. Next 3 on my list are, Tera,GW2 and SWtor, if these 3 fail, i'm gonna guess everyone's gonna go back to the much hated wow. Even if you dont like it, there's nothing else. If nothing at all, at least you know there's gonna be people on the wow servers, so there'll be a "community" at least and you dont have to play in ghost towns.

I'm going to say Rift. the dev team disected existing MMO's and looked at what made them work. Mechanics wise Rift has an exceptionaly fun combat system, a Class system that I simply love, and a feel to it that kind of pulls you in.

I will say one has to get beyond the newbie zones to truly get a feel for this game. Having participated in about half the betas (sadly due to work I was unable to participate in them all) I can say the game just performs and performs well.

The aspect of Rifts openeing and starting a public quest is not new, but done very well in Rift.

The Gathering system is similar to EQ2's, and handled well.

The Crafting system I cant comment on as I've not tried it.

The Pvp system sound like alot of fun from those in game who where talking, my self i have not yet tried the War Fronts or pvp.

The combat system is spot on, not just button mashing, but no twitch gaming either.

The class system is a vlend of skill based, and Tiered class structure. IE each of the 4 class types has several subtypes to choose from, allowing one to customa tailor a class rather then be forced down a cookie cutter roll like many MMO's.

Thw last alot in a major advantage for Rift vrs most other MMO's all in all well worth looking at during the open beta next week. Just remember to play past the enwbie areas to get a betetr apreciation for the game class mechanics and combat mechanics, as well as the open events.

All in all a rock solid game, well worth a gamers time.

    ArcheAge.

It's the only game I'm interested in learning more about. I will NOT get excited over it until I play it for myself.

There is nothing in delevopement, no matter the "phase", that I haven't seen or done before. And if I'm going to be seeing and doing the same as before, I'd rather play an older game that I've put effort into already.

MMOs have become single-player games with chatrooms that can be "beat" withing a month or two.

My only hope is that people will wise up and stop buying this absolute shit (you have a better word for it?) being passed off as MMOs. Maybe then, they will get a clue.....maybe.
