One Time Password not working, Product Registration not working, right of passage not working....

So i tried to register mt product on the square-enix members website, recieved code expired message....

 

tried to register my right of passage code, says code is invalid....

 

tried to register my security token, and it WORKED, but after i logged out of my account to test it, none of the codes that my security token generates have worked for 12 hours, so now I am completly LOCKED out of my own account...

 

PLEASE tell me im not the only unlucky person having these issues... i really don't want to deal with the terrible support... im very close to raging because I'm still pissed off about the whol POL fiasco I posted earlier HERE

    I've heard that the right of passage was not working for some people.

    Using LOL is like saying "my argument sucks but I still want to disagree".

    Maybe someone at wherever you bought the game stole your codes.

     

    Either way, not Square Enix's problem.  I'd call wherever you bought it and complain.

    Like the poster above me said, I had the same problems as you and then put caps lock on, and it all worked.

    Like the game or not, Square Enix makes most things more difficult than they need to be.

     

    Someone else's experience

    Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.

    Seriously?  Entry-level programmers have known how to resolve that problem for more than a decade at the server side.  As customers, you really should complain loudly to Square-Enix to at least put in the 2 minute effort to fix the code (seriously, no more than 2 minutes to fix).  Most programming languages have readily available functions for this (Java - toUpperCase, C/C++ - toupper, etc).

     

    There really is no reason to allow Square-Enix to get away with something that simple to fix.  No matter how much you like the company or the game, hold the company to the quality standards they claim.

    Myself I have the problem with the registration code for the members site, but my friend has the same issue with the security token. He thinks it happend because wile he was regesterign it the server went down half way through it. he has sent in a couple of tickets.

    Why would you risk setting up an OPTIONAL security token on an MMO RELEASE DAY????? You're begging for something catastrophic like that to happen....With my experience in MMOs i've learned on Release Day..just keep it simple stupid.

     

    But I DO feel your pain. Square/FF is notorious for making the simple things very hard to do.

    When you entered the code for the Right of Passage did you include the dashes?  You need to put the dashes in as well.

    I agree though that Square has a tendency to make things far more complicated than they need to be.

     And here I thought this was a non-hand holding game. Seems there are a lot of "hand holding requests" for many.

    Someone posted on FFXIV Core, that if you start filling out the right of passage information, and then close the window or something, then it counts as you using the code, so you can't go and redo it. 

    Other than that, haven't really heard of anything not working.

    Haven't tried the Right of Passage, but everything else worked fine. Though it took a little more figuring out than most games I've signed up for in the past.

    did you even read my post? everything everyone has suggested I have already tried beforehand buddy. So me not being able to correct their issues is handholding? What do you expect me to do, hack to get my registration codes working and go download a security token generator becasue mine, efter succesful registration, gives invalid codes?

    still having all three of these issue, tried email support, no respose in 12 hours. waited on phone support for an hour just to be told there is nothing they can do for faulty or broken security tokens...

     

    so if your battery dies in your security token, guess what, your screwed and can never log into your account again according to phone support...

    I had similar issue guys.

    Just to be sure, you have to add a FFXIV service account first.

    When logged in http://member.square-enix.com/na/ click on Account center under your profile in the upper right corner.

    Then click on Square Enix account management system on the left.

    Log in again.

    Under service and option click select service.

    Final Fantasy XIV

    Add a service account

    Then, enter the key located on the back cover of the game Manual (not the black card)

    My right of passage has not worked either. I thought maybe it was because I had not created a character yet. Yikes! Will try again this evening and see what happens.

    that was the first thing I did bud, my game is registered, it is my members card and my right of passage that say expired.

     

    doesn't matter though since I can never log into my account again due to a fault security code...
