launch is only for collector edition?

    Technically this isnt the official launch that is on the 30th of sept.  This is just a headstart and a incentive for those when they bought the collectors edition.  As to what you get  would be:

    A BIG BOX lol looks like a display(but its not)

    Inside are the following:

    A Buddy Key for 30 day trial

    A Keygen Token(same as World of warcraft in fact same company made both) to help secure your account further.

    A Certificate Code you redeem to have a Official Certificate for the town and character race class etc mailed to you.

    Of COurse the Dvd and Behind the scenes DVD as well.

    30 Days Free Play.

    Leatherbound id say 5x6 Journal with some Artwork for the creation of game inside as well.

    A Onion Helm which helps recovery when KO'd.

    And For me another code to get sqaure points but mine said expired but was nto a big deal to me.

    And of course the 8 day headstart before the rest of the FFXIV community plays.

    eh no music cd. i swore they had a music cd in the collectors edition.,

    how much more this edition is? Might grab it If im getting my new laptop saturday. about 30bucks?

    I think this happened for everyone or at least a lot of people.  Apparently some or all of the registration codes that went out in the CE were for standard edition so can't be activated until the 30th.  It may be intentional since the 'real' launch isn't until then but anyway if you try again then it should work.
