Pre made group

I am planning on giving Vanguard one more try. I am looking to start a pre made leveling group with the intent of enjoying the world and playing for the journey. My goal is to experience the world and see as much as the game as we can. I do not want to rush through the levels.
I can only play about 2 or 3 times a week, I would prefer 2, and my times are fairly open. I am willing to play any type of class, DPS, healing, tanking. I prefer tanking and healing but am ok with anything.
I am looking for people who are willing to stay within the same level range for this group, avoid conflict and want to play because they enjoy the experience of playing.
Exploring is much more fun when it is done with other people and MMOs are better when the experience is shared.
If anyone is interested in this please respond here. We do not need to start out at level 1 together but I would prefer we start grouping somewhere between 10-15.
If you have any questions please ask them. This is not just for new players vets who want to get involvrd should try.
PS I know people have started a guild in the past and it fell apart. This is a different idea because it involves fewer people and a lower time commitment.

I am not personally interested in trying Vanguard - again.
However, I like this concept, and appreciate you trying to make an arrangement like this.

I'm playing a healer. I've experimented with them all, and can tell you that all of them can solo well if needed. HOWEVER It seems that their are a lot of healers at all levels, and not many tanks I played around with the Dread Knight and they seem too under powered at lower levels, but I've watched people in chat complaining about them, and most give them advice to stick with them it gets better.
Just a heads up from my prospective, and please don't hold me to it because I'm somewhat new myself.
Thanks for the info. I am looking for a premade group if I can start one. Solo MMOs are not as fun, IMO.

I think they did and it went belly up already. It was months ago though.

I will join you MMOman101. I have wanted to start something like this that I could play a couple of times a week in between my other games. PM me if you are intrested I have vanguard loaded up and ready to play.
I will join if the time frame works out. Different time zones can get in the way or make things work out better.
I've done the same thing before with a MMORPG group. The group only lasted about 4+ months, but it was some of the most memorable gaming experiences I've had in my life.. Totally worth it.
I can't go more than a couple of days a week myself. Real life keeps me plenty busy.
So post with a few more details about times, etc. Maybe it will work out.

I am available after 7:30 PM EST most days. I would prefer to start a little later than that and play for 2-4 hours. I would prefer closer to 2 hours. I am not in EST but most people know where they are in relationship to it.
Monday is not a good day for me but the rest are pretty open. I can start as late as 11:30 EST. 10 EST time is probably best for mw though but I am very flexable.

I am interested also... 8:30-9:00 EST for 2ish hours is doable for me. I can work in whatever archtype is needed.
Well so far we have me and you with a few others that are interested. I am shooting to get this started next week. I think 1 week to get everyone on the same page is fair. If it takes 2 weeks though I can understand. I would rather work out all of the details now and have everyone happy with the arrangement then rush it and have it fall apart in a month.
I look forward to gaming with you and lets hope we can get a few more people to jump in. I think 4-5 would be perfect.

Is Tuesday a good day? Wednesdays are no good for me. 8:30 EST is an OK time for me.
One concept that kept my old group going was this: Concentrate on keeping the players together more than the characters. Meaning: we might all play with our core set of characters at an appointed time, but we all also had characters we played on the side while soloing or in pairs.
We focused not on powerleveling, but on teamwork and experiencing the world.
If one person couldn't make it one night, there was almost always someone with an alt, ready to play "catch up" during the week. If two people couldn't make it, then we might have naked gnome racing night.. or whatever. Playing the game together was the key.
I'm assuming the Server is Telon, since we're talking about EST. Were you planning on starting new characters? What about starting on the Island vs. one of the starting cities?
I'm flexible as far as class and starting-area.

Thats what my friend and I are doing,
We have main characters that we play together with only ( keeping them the same level ). My friend is not available during the weekend for now, because he is tuning up his girl friend in the Trial Island.
Anyway I'm now making even more friends with my higher level toon. I have so many friends on my friends list already, that I think I'm gonna start keeping side notes on paper to keep them straight, and what they like to do.
It just seems as if their are many here on mmorpg.com living is the past, and trying to derail Vanguard and not even playing since the merge. The game is well populated :
* SOME AREAS ARE POPULATED, SOME ARE NOT. YOU HAVE TO LEARN TO USE THE SOCIAL PANEL TO MAKE FRIENDS * My friend is somewhat shy and will not use it for now, yet he is surprised at how I find people. We had to get a group for Khegor's End ( lv 13-18 ). I found my first in my guild, a lv 16 Paladin. The first thing she said is, you will not find any others. I told her to give me 10 min I'll have a full party. She was amazed at my findings, she is a vet and I'm somewhat new. Now were all friends. HOW? I USED THE SOCIAL PANEL !
Think about this:
Their are too many guilds in any mmo. Unless your at max level you will not get many at any given level. This holds true even for WoW. With 600 players and 40 some guilds, just do the math. You have to venture outside the guild's. I use the guild to ask game questions using Ventrilo voice chat. If I get a friend to play with great, but I don't expect it.
All this will be in my report here next week. AND FILTER OUT THE PEOPLE HERE, TRYING TO DE RAIL THIS GAME.
I am also interested in this. I can do 8:30 EST Monday through Thursday. Will play any class if needed, but I have a lvl 15 psi at the moment.
Is that a euphemism?

Tuesdays are good for me too.
From what I understand Telon is the more populated server so I think it makes sense to join that one.
I think I need to start a new one. I can get up to level 10-15 pretty quick. I was hoing that people would either start new toons or play low level ones.
The class makeup can be decided once we figure out who is going to play and when. It does seem like everyone is flexable so at some point someone will have to pick a class to get the ball rolling.
I enjoy Healing (melee or ranged), tanking, ranged DPS (caster) the most.

That seems like thta might work depending on if you are leveling the toon now or not. It looke like we might be shooting for a start date/time of 5 Oct. 2010, 8:30 EST.
I am getting excited. I was not sure if this would draw any interest and it seems to be coming together easier than I thought it would.

BTW, now that you have decided on a date and time, are we going to meet at a certain place? Start off on the Island?
If we are starting from scratch I think it makes sense to start on the island. I am good with that or having everyone start off the island somewhere at around level 10. I am easy and would be ok with whatever other people feel confident with.
Hopefull some of the others will check in and put in some input. I will send out a message to people sho showed interest but have not popped in yet in a couple of days.

I'm OK with either way, actually, but that's my opinion.

I kind of agree that starting at one would be a good idea. I do enjoy the diplomacy mini-game but I am not sure we need to do that as a group.
I am not sure about how we want to work crafting or if we even want to take it into affect. I am not much of a crafter so I can forgo most of it.

Come to think of it, crafting and diplomacy would be great things to do solo, while the rest of the group was offline, or on an "off day."
I just read about the brotherhood concept- where you don't go outside a certain level range as others in the brotherhood. Any clue as to how this works?
Edit - although a mining expedition would be a nice idea.

I have been thinking of returnin to Vanguard for a while now. I'd be up for grouping. I have a low level cleric with a horrible name but I think I also have a few other >10 toons out there. I'm willing to use any of those toons or start another one from scratch. I'll play anything except a druid since I already have a 45ish druid. Let me know if you're still looking for members. I'm in mountain time zone but 7 or 8 EST shouldn't be much a problem most days.
I am so in. I tried to do this very recently and it didnt work out so far mosytly due to playtime compatibility. I am currently lvl 16 cleric but will stop playing or start over for this. I do like the cleric but might try another healing class or a sorc. I have only had one or two groups since I started and hate that I am lvl 16 and havent stepped foot in a "real" dungeon.
I have been looking for my EQ replacement for like 3 years and I realy thing VG is it. A group like this will make it perfect.
I think your idea to just keep the TOONS together is great, people that want to play more just play other characters.
PM me here or friend me ingame (Caligu) on Telon. I can do any night a few nights a week for 2-4 hours, the only problem is it would be very hard for me to start before 9PM EST.
