What I dont undertand is why are people buying this game with nonthing but negative comments about it everywhere?
Mighty selective perception you have there.
The only negative comments I've seen are the typical ones I'd see behind any game's release, e.g:
This game didn't live up to everything the marketing department said it would be and I gulliby believed them.
My computer has compatibility problems.
This game plays differently than the games I already know and am bored of. Is that supposed to happen? Probably not, must be a bad design.
I feel it is significant to indicate that you can, in fact, find flaws in this thing wrought by human hands.
I don't really hate this game and/or it's not doing that badly, but seeing how it's a new release and all, I bet I can get a lot of attention for saying it's bad.
Can't say I sympathise with any of those.
lol those are the only negative comments you have seen? You must not read that often for having such reading comprehension.
Oh? Find me an example that doesn't fit under those umbrellas. Maybe it's not me who is suffering from poor reading comprehension.
(Well, okay, the copypasta'd terrain... skip that one on the grounds I think everybody copypastas.)
i will try to make this short. i am a former FFXI player. it was my first MMO and i will never forget it. it was fantastic. the aspects that made FFXI fun are completely removed from this game. i could be wrong in all of this because i only played the game through level 13 and rank 11 marauder. the game may change when you hit higher levels and hit more areas but from what i have seen i doubt it, unfortunately.
1] there is no auction house. in it's place is a small narrow market hub that is instanced which you have to teleport into from within the city. the rooms are jam packed with npc player mules. teleporting destroys the immersion factor as well. the absence of an auction house creates ecenomic chaos; items in bazaars are insanely priced high, you may have to click through hundreds of bazaars and spend literally hours upon hours running around towns talking to every npc to find what you looking for, npc markets are not labeled so an npc behind the counter of beans and green peppers may also be selling an axe or a weapon or a crafting tool.
2] regarding combat, the entire game is soloable from what i have seen with no emphasis on group play. you simply advance faster playing solo. this detracts from socializing. there is no need to talk or actively seek out other players to form parties with like in FFXI, thus there is no social aspect in the game. the dificulty of mobs that forced a 6-man party system was one of the greatest strengths of FFXI. this aspect is now gone and it feels like a single player game and not an mmo.
3] there is no death penalty and no risk vs. reward system in combat. there is no fear in the world and no sense of accomplishment because of this. if you venture far away from the camp / home point bind you can simply find a mob to kill you and warp back to home point with no penalty whatsoever instead of spending time running back. the only penalty is gear degregation and although that is a step forward it's still not better than losing some xp upon death to create challanges in the game and make the world come alive.
4] you can teleport to almost any location from any point in the game instantly and this alone destroys the immersion factor and the world building in the MMMO. the only trip required is the initial one to discover the new aetheryte crystal located within the city or camp and from there you can teleport to and from it. the feeling of accomplishment when you travel out to a party / leveling zone and make the journey back home after the fights in FFXI is gone.
5] the game forces you to play almost all classes and do almost all the crafting if you want to advance because there is better xp rewarded for crafting a piece of cloth than killing a random mob after your 8 quests are completed. players that do not care about or have time to carft and play more than one class will be getting the shaft. a "warrior" that enjoys using a great axe and dealing damage and tanking is forced to level up other classes like pugilist to gain taunt ability. this ability is naturally reserved for a warrior / tank. you cannot stick with one class and sub class to be viable like in FFXI. this simply promotes more grinding and constantly re-visiting low level areas doing the same quests you did before.
6] they changed the game for the sake of change instead of building upon FFXI's direction. gone are WAR, RDM, WHM, BLK, monk and bard support classes. an axe wielding warrior is now called a maurader. a monk is now called a pugilist. there is no dedicated white mage healer or black mage damage dealer. the world is new and has worse names than it's predecessor. bastok is now called ul'dah and sports a new layout. windurst is now called gridania and sports a new layout. gone is sandoria and replaced with a stupid pirate-themed island-based city called limsa lominsa. they obviously kept the "every final fantasy is a new final fnatasy" mentality from their single player console games and incorporated into FFXIV when they should have kept the world of vanadiel and build upon it with this new graphics engine.
7] the world design is poor. every thing is a very narrow passage, everything. all the small caves i been to are the exact same layout. the small ponds scattered throughout are the exact same layout. i have not seen one area that is larger than FFXI. obviously they did this to help the console version sustain a high enough frame rate because narrow passages hide geometry behind them so the gpu does not have to render additional things. the inability to once again not be allowed to jump further amplifies the "narrow passage" problem. if you could simply perform a small jump you get over that small hump and not feel so enclosed in the world. i don't care for jumping in this game and it is not needed but i do not see any way around the narrow passage problem without re-building the world OR if the higher end zones do in fact open up.
the design of this game was simply to change it all up and make it better. they chaged it all up alright but they did not make anything better besides the graphics. i have no idea how this game is going to survive once the reviews start comming in. hardcore FFXI players will feel left out and alienated. the new mmo crowd which this game is designed for, the ones that want quick rewards and to solo, are going to get frusterated with the UI and the extremely limited freedom of character movement. as it stands now if they re-skinned FFXI with this new graphics engine and re-released it for the PC market it would be a far superior game than what FFXIV is turning out to be.
i do have the thirst to continue playing because i have a hope that all this negativity will be alievated once i get passed the starter zones and see the game in more detail. i just have the feeling that the 7 negatives i outlined are going to destroy the game.
There will be an AH FFxi didnt start with one either. Your gear gets damage when you die. and i do see a reason to group better rewards.. The chest that drop give more rewards or better. and its funner in a group like xi was. most of your complaints are just stupid. BUt the game just released and i bet you it will improve ALOT by the first exspansion JUST like XI did.
LMAo you started ffxi Way after the jap release. you should really just wait until the ps3 release and see what they have changed or added. hell wouldnt surpris eme if the first exspansion was released shortly after that. when you started XI an exspansions was already out
Right because there are allot of people at endgame already; since the game has only been out for five days. What you probably read was all the people complaining about there not being an endgame in Beta, and that is because SE did not put the whole game in Beta.
Out of curiosity, what did they add?
According to SE only a portion of the Guildleves where in Beta and only a portion of the Story Quests as well as only some of the Dungeons.
Actually all they said was most of the content wasn't in beta. It wasn't and its apparent the content they were referring to was simply the story arc. This was pointed out many times that fanbois were reading to much between the lines. They also mislead people by stating the retail client would be 22Gb, over the 9Gb for beta. Its quite clear they simply posted bull, to stop the trend in pre-order cancelations.
There is no end game, which is something SE quite clearly stated. Its something they intend to add over time.

I'm guessing because there really hasn't been much else new released this year so they're willing to give it a shot.
Also, AoC, Aion, and WAR didn't fail. They're still generating profit for their parent companies and being played by thousands of people, the same way FFXIV will be doing a couple years from now when all these idiots are prattling on about how it "failed." Lol.

the reply with quotes system this website uses is strange as i am used to v-bulleten style forums so i will just do a quick reply on the ones that say there is a death penalty and that an AH will be implemented in the future.
i played beta for a very short time and although i found it quite boring i decided to purchase the game anyway. i had a belief that the reason there was no death penalty and that they allowed you teleportation during the open beta was so that you could test the game world without slowing down. i was hoping that the final release would tighten the rule-sets like FFXI has but unfortunately the open beta was the game in it's entirety.
because i was in beta i often-times read the developer blogs they posted on their forum. they stated that the game was designed without an AH and in it's place will be the market ward and retainer system we have now. i forgot the exact wording on the article but the reason behind this was to allow a more personal interaction with crafters in the game or something to this extent. so for the ones that are expecting an AH to be implemented i am telling you guys this is not true.
there is NO death penalty when dying. there is no gear degregation upon death. durability hit on gear only happens when you are taking damage from mobs and crafting. so maybe people are mistaking that for a death penalty in that they check their gear durability and notice it dropped when in fact it simply dropped during battle and not as a result of dying. a mob that one-shots you will result in virtually no gear degregation and of course, no death penalty.
also, in the developer blog the director described the reason for the guild leaves as soon as they were implemented in beta and was getting complaints almost instantly from beta testers. he said the game was designed around 1 hour of playtime per day meaning that a casual gamer can log in and get something done within this hour. what this Mr. director failed to describe is that in order to achieve this with their current game they needed to eliminate traveling and took out death penalties because these two things alone will prevent the 1 hour playtime from being fulfilled.
i do not need sympathy from anyone. i am just trying to provide a factually correct oppinionated article for you folks to understand how flawed the game is because of the direction it took, especially compared to FFXI.

Actually, most people said that, like FFXI, the majority of the content will be through the story line. With that said, more guild have been added from what I hear, there is also more BCM-like mobs, and the dungeons in the game are more accessible unlike beta (you get kina lead to them).
i will try to make this short. i am a former FFXI player. it was my first MMO and i will never forget it. it was fantastic. the aspects that made FFXI fun are completely removed from this game. i could be wrong in all of this because i only played the game through level 13 and rank 11 marauder. the game may change when you hit higher levels and hit more areas but from what i have seen i doubt it, unfortunately.
1] there is no auction house. [...snip]
I agree on this one.
I don't think you've played enough. Mobs ramp up in power rapidly, so there is definitely benefit to grouping to hunt creatures way too tough to solo. Also, once you get to the level 10 guild leves, there are some that are almost impossible to do solo. You also get more XP and bigger rewards for grouping for leves and picking higher difficulty levels.
Once again, you seem to have not gotten very far. Once you get past level 10 in a class, you'll find that the damage to your equipment from dying becomes a major deal. Repair costs for equipment beyond the starter gear also gets expensive. You really, really won't want to die in this game once you hit level 10 in a class or start to aquire better equipment.
As you noted, you have to travel to a bind point first, before you can teleport there. However, you left out the Anima cost. Teleporting costs you Anima and the Anima pool recharges at a slow rate. Casual players may not have to sweat it, but I find I really have to take pause before deciding to spend the Anima on a teleport.
Over the long term, you will find you have a lot fewer teleports during a week of play than you have in games that are on a half hour timer for bind point recall and offer other methods of fast travel.
No one forces you to craft or gather. There is definite incentive to pick up some skills off your primary class, but it's not like you need to keep them all in line with your primary level. Eventually, you may want to aquire higher tier levels of some skills outside your primary class, but since your Physical Level will continue to increase as you level your primary, when you do go back to level up any secondary skills it will be easier and quicker.
I mostly agree with this. Pointless changes and to make it all worse, most of the world design changes were not for the better. The technology and engine took a major step forward, but the overall design took a major step back.
I agree with some of this. I'm not happy with the world design. Everything looks good close up, but zone and world design are very poor. There is also very little of interest to find while exploring the landscape. FF lost it's "Magic" in this incarnation. Uninspired and un-imaginative.
the design of this game was simply to change it all up and make it better. they chaged it all up alright but they did not make anything better besides the graphics. i have no idea how this game is going to survive once the reviews start comming in. hardcore FFXI players will feel left out and alienated. the new mmo crowd which this game is designed for, the ones that want quick rewards and to solo, are going to get frusterated with the UI and the extremely limited freedom of character movement. as it stands now if they re-skinned FFXI with this new graphics engine and re-released it for the PC market it would be a far superior game than what FFXIV is turning out to be.
i do have the thirst to continue playing because i have a hope that all this negativity will be alievated once i get passed the starter zones and see the game in more detail. i just have the feeling that the 7 negatives i outlined are going to destroy the game.
In spite of some major negatives, I'm enjoying the game more and more as I continue to play. There is a learning curve and the experience is "different". Combat becomes challanging as you advance and is not the typical "press these buttons in this set sequence, over and over again" style. The game also hints at many more class related quests and factional leves. I was hoping some of that would open up at level 10, but it looks like it may be level 20+.
Even IF the game becomes more rewarding at higher levels, I will have to say that SE has done an absolutely horrible job at making the lower level range fun and encouraging. I think a large percentage of players will "wash out" before they ever hit level 20.
I just can't shake the feeling this game was incedibly rushed and I don't really get why.
I'm also realistic about the possibility that the game won't get better, but I'm willing to give it a solid effort for the first full month before writing it off.
thanks for the reply. i added a few posts back that there is no death penalty in regards to gear durability hit. i will just paste it here;
there is NO death penalty when dying. there is no gear degregation upon death. durability hit on gear only happens when you are taking damage from mobs and crafting. so maybe people are mistaking that for a death penalty in that they check their gear durability and notice it dropped when in fact it simply dropped during battle and not as a result of dying. a mob that one-shots you will result in virtually no gear degregation and of course, no death penalty.

If WAR indeed did cost a 100M to develop like the rumours suggested, then no, it has yet to recoup all its development costs.
most of the issues stated in this thread is what everyone used to bitch about ffxi for, took way to long to get pts to have them disband after an hour, couldnt solo unless you were certain classes
ppl used to scream bloody murder about the fact you lost xp on death in ffxi, well now you dont
then there was teleporting in ffxi, i dont know how many times i used to listen to someone bitch in my old ls about the lack of tele crystals, how much it sucked having to run so much, after getting ported to dem mea or holla
really does it matter that much that a monk is now called a pugilist, its just a freaking name and what do you know they both mean the same thing, same as one game having a thief, and another having a rogue, they probably did this just to seperate it from ffxi
as for the auction house, what they said in a couple of interviews was they had no solid plan to add one, but would also be considering it, just not for release, they want the economy to settle down before its ever implemented, now with the amount of complaints this system is getting, it might be in sooner then they were planning, it is just a horrible system, best they could do to fix it would be put in a search function, but then wouldnt that pretty much make it an auction house
dont get me wrong there are things about this game that makes me cross my eyes and try to figure out what they were thinking, but most of the stuff that is being complained about in this thread and others is their attempt to give ppl what they wanted
I just can't shake the feeling this game was incedibly rushed and I don't really get why.
I'm also realistic about the possibility that the game won't get better, but I'm willing to give it a solid effort for the first full month before writing it off.
I thought the exact same thing when I was following the information closely during the betas. My pc apparently can't handle the demand this game requires (even though it's not an old rig about a year old) so I was debating upgrading or sitting it out. I thought then, and firmly beleive now, that SE rushed the product to avoid competing with any titles. Seeing as how, and this is my opinion, they are doing a fine job of screwing themselves it is starting to look like their best bet. I don't think the game would have done too well if it had other titles to contend sells and subs with. It seems like a rushed product and the lack of end game, accompanied by the exp issue that I still aint sure about, not to mention the amount of time you have to spend/waste in the crafting side of the game ( I say waste because from what i read you have to do the crafts you may not want to just to lev the craft you DO want to), makes it look like a time sink that they are trying to drag it out till they get their heads outta their asses. Just my thoughts, not a fact. I do think, since I was wanting to play it soo badly, that I will give it a shot when it releases on PS3.... but have my doubts since there will be a couple of other MMO's out by then to hog my time.
i would like to thank SE for reading my post and firing the director, along with his staff, and replacing his team with the team from FFXI!
my confidence is etremely high that the game will soon incorporate the arguments that i have brought forth in this thread and that we will soon have a true successor to our beloved FFXI!
Thank you for your continued interest in and support of FINAL FANTASY XIV.
While more than two months have passed since the official launch of FINAL FANTASY XIV service, we deeply regret that the game has yet to achieve the level of enjoyability that FINAL FANTASY fans have come to expect from the franchise, and for this we offer our sincerest of apologies.
After thorough deliberation on how to meet those expectations, it was decided that the most viable step was to approach improvements under new leadership and with a restructured team.
To realize this vision, and in doing so, provide our customers with a better game experience, we have assembled our company’s top talent and resources. Taking over the role of producer and director is Naoki Yoshida, a passionate individual for whom customer satisfaction has always taken top priority. Not only is he one of our Group’s most accomplished and experienced members, Naoki Yoshida is also a charismatic leader possessing the skill to bring together and effectively helm a team which encompasses a wide range of responsibilities. We also welcome several new leaders handpicked from other projects to work with the existing talent on FINAL FANTASY XIV.
We realize time is of the essence and are fully determined to provide our customers with quality service. It is because of this that we ask our customers to be patient until we are able to confidently present them with a concrete plan outlining FINAL FANTASY XIV’s new direction. The free trial period will be extended until that time.
Regarding the PlayStation 3, it is not our wish to release a simple conversion of the Windows version in its current state, but rather an update that includes all the improvements we have planned. For that reason, we have made the difficult decision to delay the release of the PlayStation 3 version beyond the originally announced date of March 2011.
The FINAL FANTASY XIV team is working hard to bring our customers an unparalleled adventure, and we ask for your continued understanding and support as we march ever diligently towards that goal.
President and CEO, Yoichi Wada
The development and management teams would like to make an announcement regarding personnel changes.

At present, the development team is putting the finishing touches on the previously announced version update, which is still slated for release in mid-December. In addition, there is one more version update scheduled for release before year's end. Details on the content and dates of these updates will be released in the near future.
[Delay of the PlayStation 3 Version Release]
Although the release date for the PlayStation 3 version of the game was previously announced as late March of 2011, we regret to inform that this date has been changed.
The PlayStation 3 release will be delayed until we are confident that the game has reached the level of enjoyability and service befitting the FINAL FANTASY name for users on all supported platforms. We offer our sincerest apologies to any fans anticipating the PlayStation 3 release, and humbly ask for your continued patience and understanding as both the development team and Square Enix as a whole strive towards making FINAL FANTASY XIV a truly enjoyable and unforgettable adventure.
[New Development Team Policy]
I would like to take this opportunity to greet all of you—those currently playing FINAL FANTASY XIV, those who have taken a respite from playing, and those awaiting the PlayStation 3 release—and offer a brief word by way of an introduction.
No doubt there are very few, if any, among you who have ever heard the name Naoki Yoshida. To be sure, I have never been in the fore on any of the titles I have worked on in the past. I am, however, honored and privileged to work alongside many talented and inspiring colleagues, and with their support have enjoyed making games for a number of years. I am aware that a great many people will think the responsibility of leading FINAL FANTASY XIV is far too large a task for someone so unknown. After all, even my very best may seem no more than a drop in the bucket when considering the sheer scope of FINAL FANTASY XIV. But working together with me are the very talented and very capable development and management teams, whose dedication and motivation are unwavering. I would like to ask you to please put to rest uncertainties that you may have.
Now, more than ever, myself, the development team, and Square Enix as a whole, are committed to furthering our efforts to provide a quality service.
Everything we do will be for our players and customers.
FINAL FANTASY XIV Producer/Director, Naoki Yoshida
First of all, I would like to apologize for our inability to fully satisfy our users with the initial release of FINAL FANTASY XIV. I take full responsibility for the game's current situation, and have therefore made the decision to step down from my role as producer. A number of concerns that have been voiced by users, such as the design of the user interface, availability of tutorials and game content, and battle system functionality, represent key issues that must be addressed. While improvements are already well underway in many areas, we were unfortunately not able to incorporate player feedback as quickly as we would have liked. We are aware, however, that in many cases, addressing these issues will call for a reworking of game elements. As these changes are our first priority, they will be commanding our full attention and efforts. It is to that end that we have put a new organizational structure into place for the development team. Under this new system, FINAL FANTASY XIV will see changes and additions in line with the desires and expectations of players. Though no longer producer, I will be continuing to support the development team in other capacities, and personally hope that you will continue your adventures in the realm of Eorzea.
Kudos OP. Thanks for taking the time to write out your thoughts. I agree with a lot of what you are saying. I think all of us who bought the game had a lot more faith in SE due to previous games. I agree, they have a lot to fix and work on.
Oh I just realized how long ago you made this post :P
I love snails. I love every kinda snail. I just want to hug them all, but I cant. Cant hug every snail.

I hear their public transportation is amazing, and everyone is told to smile, its part of their job to be pleasant and smile.
Holy Hell imagine trying to get our public officials and employees to smile during their days. lmfao. Lots of our stuff is owned or semi run by the government like our transit systems . Holy f-ing christ, they are the rudest bunch of b-tards you have ever met, and they'll just drive by you at the stop too. And cause we have unions their bosses cant do shit. I wish they'd all seppuku themselves and give us privatized transit, i dont care if it costs a little more. If only to get those lousy bus drivers outta jobs. Bah, i hate buss drivers!
I wanna move to Japan. I dont think my english is good enough for me to be a teacher though.

Still, it's good SE decided to remove him as director, hopefully this new team will do a better job.
1) I'm probably one of the few here who likes the bazaar model. To me, it feels more like actually shopping than the instant gratification you get from an auction house type setup. I would much prefer they streamline the current system further rather than implement the standard model.
2) You can solo, but I'm not sure why you would want to. Not only is the game incredibly boring solo, but you're also extremely limited in terms of how many leves you can do solo. Grouping solves both of these problems.
3) I agree. There do need to be much harsher penalties for dying. Death should be something you actively try to avoid at all times.
4) I'm torn on this issue. On one hand, I agree with you on the immersion aspect of teleporting. On the other, getting to some quest hubs takes a LONG time to run on foot. The teleportation makes the game more accessible if you have limited playtime, and makes group far easier if everyone doesn't have to run a marathon to get to their destination.
5) I'm not sure why you're complaining about one of the best features of FFXIV. The idea behind the system isn't that you're restricted to a single class, but rather you use a combination of abilities from several to make your own class. In regards to crafting, you don't HAVE to do it, it just makes life easier.
6) Conjuror and thaumaturge are basically the white and black mage, respectively, though I do wish the conjuror was a dedicated healer rather than a hybrid. I think the names are fine.
7) I agree with most of this. The ability to jump would help the feel of most zones tremendously. They also need to vastly increase the variation of most landmarks. It's okay to have repetition as long as it's not noticable. WoW has a number of caves and landmarks that all share the same design, but each has some differences that make it not so noticable.
I realize that the original post is rather old, but I still wanted to chime in with my opinion.

According to SE only a portion of the Guildleves where in Beta and only a portion of the Story Quests as well as only some of the Dungeons.

Oh? Find me an example that doesn't fit under those umbrellas. Maybe it's not me who is suffering from poor reading comprehension.
(Well, okay, the copypasta'd terrain... skip that one on the grounds I think everybody copypastas.)
LMAo you started ffxi Way after the jap release. you should really just wait until the ps3 release and see what they have changed or added. hell wouldnt surpris eme if the first exspansion was released shortly after that. when you started XI an exspansions was already out
Actually all they said was most of the content wasn't in beta.
Se never said the client was 22 gigs grape...
Actually they did, the corrispondance was posted on FFXIVCore.

Also, AoC, Aion, and WAR didn't fail. They're still generating profit for their parent companies and being played by thousands of people, the same way FFXIV will be doing a couple years from now when all these idiots are prattling on about how it "failed." Lol.
That was our bad for jumping to conclusions, really. It would be about that size once you include the installer files and space needed for the installation.
LMAO that was some support team not exactully SE. the support team had the info wrong thats all that was
SE support is still SE no matter how you look at it. The official site lists the install as 15GB and the download as 6 GB.
the reply with quotes system this website uses is strange as i am used to v-bulleten style forums so i will just do a quick reply on the ones that say there is a death penalty and that an AH will be implemented in the future.
i played beta for a very short time and although i found it quite boring i decided to purchase the game anyway. i had a belief that the reason there was no death penalty and that they allowed you teleportation during the open beta was so that you could test the game world without slowing down. i was hoping that the final release would tighten the rule-sets like FFXI has but unfortunately the open beta was the game in it's entirety.
because i was in beta i often-times read the developer blogs they posted on their forum. they stated that the game was designed without an AH and in it's place will be the market ward and retainer system we have now. i forgot the exact wording on the article but the reason behind this was to allow a more personal interaction with crafters in the game or something to this extent. so for the ones that are expecting an AH to be implemented i am telling you guys this is not true.
there is NO death penalty when dying. there is no gear degregation upon death. durability hit on gear only happens when you are taking damage from mobs and crafting. so maybe people are mistaking that for a death penalty in that they check their gear durability and notice it dropped when in fact it simply dropped during battle and not as a result of dying. a mob that one-shots you will result in virtually no gear degregation and of course, no death penalty.
also, in the developer blog the director described the reason for the guild leaves as soon as they were implemented in beta and was getting complaints almost instantly from beta testers. he said the game was designed around 1 hour of playtime per day meaning that a casual gamer can log in and get something done within this hour. what this Mr. director failed to describe is that in order to achieve this with their current game they needed to eliminate traveling and took out death penalties because these two things alone will prevent the 1 hour playtime from being fulfilled.
i do not need sympathy from anyone. i am just trying to provide a factually correct oppinionated article for you folks to understand how flawed the game is because of the direction it took, especially compared to FFXI.
Actually, most people said that, like FFXI, the majority of the content will be through the story line. With that said, more guild have been added from what I hear, there is also more BCM-like mobs, and the dungeons in the game are more accessible unlike beta (you get kina lead to them).

thanks for the reply. i added a few posts back that there is no death penalty in regards to gear durability hit. i will just paste it here;

RIP Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan and Paul Gray.
i would like to thank SE for reading my post and firing the director, along with his staff, and replacing his team with the team from FFXI!
my confidence is etremely high that the game will soon incorporate the arguments that i have brought forth in this thread and that we will soon have a true successor to our beloved FFXI!
