you c a tauren warrior with a totem... but are there actually totems in-game???? cuz i never saw one

well my guess would be that is a shaman .... Shaman use totems in the game.
Also .. is it that difficult to type out see instead of c... took me over a minute of thinking of what you mistyped when i realized you just didn't want to type see.
I'm not a tauren but that's probably a weapon. Totems used by shamans appear on the ground when you cast them but your character doesn't 'hold' it or anything, and they're about knee-high in height.
i am a tauren shaman and thats definitely a weapon... it looks like some kind of stave... totems appear on the ground when you cast them, you only carry weapons and sheild on your back like that. it does look pretty cool though, maybe i'll find one sometime

Looks like a shield, to me. Totems tend to be small staff type items that you toss out and stick in the ground (as mentioned already). The part hanging down at the bottom, in the pic, is his tail. Makes me think it's a sheild, tall and narrow, with Tauren totemic carvings ...
