    Allow me to gush.

I'm in total agreement, Devoraan.  I don't think I've looked forward so much to a game as LOTRO.  I first read LOTR almost 30 yrs ago, and have gone through the trilogy numerous times since then, as well as a slew of other Tolkien books.  Just as I'm sure huge fans of Star Wars were beside themselves to have the chance to live in that universe, I'm soooo looking forward to exploring Middle Earth.  Man, I just want to trip around and check out all the little tidbits from the books.  From the three trolls that got turned to stone, to sitting beside the fire in a cozy little hole on Bagshot Row.  Ack! image I can go on forever, but I'll spare you all.

How about you folks.  Whether you're familiar with just the movies or with the books as well, what one or two things are on the top of your list to 'sight-see'?

I'm also a big fan. I read the Hobbit about 30 years ago when I was a kid and was instantly hooked. I soon read the LOTR trilogy and all of Tolkiens short stories. I even read the "ever so painfully to read" Silmarillion. So hurry up with this game! I cant wait! image

LOL.  I took me no less than three false starts to get through that book.  But once I did, I was glad I stuck it out.  The, as I call it, 'Saga o' Beren' was an incredible read.

Really? So it's worth the read? Okay I'll admit I didnt finish the book. It was difficult to follow in the beginning. But if you say it's worth it then I'll give it another whack. image

Yeah, do give it another shot. image I agree it's a bit tough at first, but once you get into the stories about the people and Melkor and the against him, it gets really good.  I remember when I finished it, I was really surprised, despite how dry it seemed at first, I said to myself, "Damn! That was good!".
