Warhammer Online?

Can some one please tell me what is going on with Warhammer online?

I got the e-mail a while back saying the game had been stopped and I did check the official site were there was (and still is a letter/memo to say the game had been stopped)

with this I took a huff as it were and decided some one some place could tell me more about the situation, I then found an unofficial forum (warhammeronlineforum.com) and there the rumers are rife, with what people want to do, what people are doing what the GW team are doing and so on.
Hoowever I belive these are the shards of the fan base that are left fromt he original site that do not wish to give up hope.

At this I decided on a diffrent approch and tried the GW site, this lead me back to the Warhammer Online site. No good.
Then I tried Climax the company that were developing the game, a simple key word seach lead me to Warhammer Online however to access any infomation it seems I must be media and therefor can not find out what they are doing.
So off to sega I look as they were to publish the game no joy there either.

I just feel it a shame that the game has stopped, it rates 7.2 which would now put it on the hype meter here.

I feel a sorrow of sorts for this game, and looking at what can be done with GW games (Dawn of War) I feel it should have been given more of a chance, I think I grabbed the E3 movie just before the game stopped and its hidden away, it was shaping up to be a good game.

Any one with any infomation post here and let me know.

The climax part would be nice if any one can get it.

Climax put a press release out saying that the development of Warhammer Online was continuing in-house. This was true for a while however now the WHO team have been 'released'.

Basically WHO is dead in the water at the moment, there was a rumour about someone picking it up and finishing it but this was a PR spin to try and get people to contact them.

No-one has resurrected a big name MMO that has stopped .... yet

Ah, sorry I didn't notice this sooner... Right, WO? It was cancelled be Games Workshop as their estimation of the costs was out and in the end they decided that it wasn't worth it. However Climax, who were developing it for them decided to continue the project alone. Also when WO was cancelled and before Climax took it back up, a project known as Project Phoenix was started to create a game with the same core ideas as WO - but using the fans experience of MMORPGS  to make it even better.
